  1. Good job by Camp and Russell. Feel a lot better if we'd score a run or two. Asking a lot to win a game 1-0.
  2. Why would you even think that pitch to DeJesus was a strike?
  3. I don't mind low scoring games but there aren't even a lot of strike outs or guys getting on base. Just a bunch of flyballs to the outfield or weak grounders in the infield. Feels like a single A game.
  4. Be nice to get him some runs. The Pirates seem to have no desire to score either.
  5. I thought Soriano had a homer but then I realized how huge this park is.
  6. It's nice to have a runner in scoring position for a good hitter.
  7. Hate the Cardinals a lot but I'm glad they are wearing the red hats on the road again. It looks a lot better than the black ones.
  8. That game was boring as [expletive]. Win tomorrow and take the series please.
  9. I assume it had something to do with that.
  10. Ohhhh, Edwin Jackson. That was my first reaction as well. Whelp, I'm missing something.
  11. What a stand up guy. May UCLA be lucky enough to have him run away like Iowa and UNM. Have fun.
  12. Hope Jackson can get a lot of swing and misses in the cold weather.
  13. Assuming those that are slotted for the first round end up leaving (Zeller, Olapido, Burke, GRIII, among others who could declare), could you make the argument that Iowa could be the preseason favorite for the big ten, or at least third behind OSU and MSU? They looked awfully good last night and look to have figured out how to close teams. I had no idea how many close losses they had during the B1G season. No. Just no. Iowa's looked awfully good playing other teams who also weren't good enough to make the tournament. Iowa gets some supposed shooters next year and that was their weakness this year (shooting), combine that with the experience factor and Iowa should be a tournament team for sure. I think they could have an outside chance at winning the conference (though there is no way they are favorites) but they'd have to have a lot go right. Having someone who can score consistently who isn't Aaron White or Devon Marble would be a start.
  14. It's hard to be too upset by the strikeouts. Took a lot of pitches and Burnett was locating some nasty pitches for a good chunk of the game. Take the approach they did today for the rest of the year and I'd be happy.
  15. I don't remember the Cubs having gone 2-0 since I've been a Cubs fan so I decided to look it up. They haven't gone 2-0 to start a season since 1995. Not that it really matters over the course of 162 games but that just seems strange.
  16. It's be nice if we could at least hover around .500 for a while.
  17. Yeah, this is terrible.
  18. Alford's kind of a dick. I'm interested to see if he knows how to coach in a major conference now (though, has the Pac 12 even been better than the Mountain West as of late)
  19. If Louisville, Michigan State and Michigan lose I can have a successful 0 for 8 in the elite 8. I'm pulling for this.
  20. Probably most of us? I feel like anyone who follows the NBA regularly should know this.
  21. Living in Indiana makes me want the Hoosiers to lose as soon as possible.
  22. Yeah, that's what I meant.
  23. Nice to get the "can't beat a decent team" monkey of their backs too.
