Another frustrating out. -
Bloop single gives them the lead. Multiple had hit outs for us and terrible umpiring going against us. A lot to over come. Luckily Arrieta is awesome and we only need one run.

How do you fix doing what he did on that play? Slide headfirst, pop up slide, slow yourself more in the process of sliding(especially since he clearly stole the base), etc Sliding head first is bad for the most part and I'm not sure players can situationally decide to slow down in that position. Pop up slide maybe but there's still a chance that you come off the bag. I file a play like that under, [expletive] that happens in baseball and nothing that can be completely fixed. Thank God Arietta didn't just die.

Cubs are the most likable team in baseball just because of all their silly antics.

2008 regular season Cubs was some of the best ever sports to follow. Once we started coming back against the Brewers in 2007 was great too.

I hate that we decided to go on so many college basketball droughts all freakin' series. I really doubt Thibs will be with us next year.
