The Cubs are great at doing that to us, aren't they? Why in the hell would you be stressed or angry right now. The season is over, we're Central champs and have homefield advantage throughout the NL playoffs. Because true Cubs fans live and die on every pitch... I do it too, knowing full well what you said. More like some, not true Cubs fans. Semantics are cool.

Is there really a chance that Z won't start Game 1? I'd honestly say yes, depending on his final start of the year. Is there a better chance that he starts game 1 than he doesn't? Certainly...

In all fairness, Ted Lilly was probably our ace/most consistent player last year and Z still started game 1. I don't disagree with your thoughts, but I don't think Lou is going to wait until game 3 to pitch Z. Maybe game 2, but not beyond that. Oh, I fully realize that. Just saying what I believe SHOULD be the case.

Is this guy serious with these shots at the Cubs? Man more than normal it seems... oh well, it can all end with a special October. Oh and 4.03 ERA for Lilly!

And yea Zambrano was our best bet last year to start Game 1... we didn't have Dempster OR Harden. Dempster is our ace and consistency this year, and Harden has the best 'stuff'... they should start game 1 & 2.

Kinda like how Zambrano imploding in Game 1 of last yr's NLDS...........no wait, he didn't implode and he gave the Cubs a chance to win Game 1. I agree that I don't want Zambrano start Game 1, but it's not because he's a "headcase" and would "implode" but because the Cubs have good depth in the rotation and Lou really doesn't have to rearrange the rotation for the playoffs. Yea the playoff rotation is pretty damn good so it doesn't really matter. But I at least want Dempster to start Game 1 and Harden to start Game 2.

What's the reasoning behind that? Dempster has been our most consistent starter of the year HANDS down. In game 1 you want to set the tone, and Dempster is the one to do that. Harden is obviously our "best" pitcher but seems to rarely get through the 6th... but he is still our best. Zambrano is too much of a headcase, I would NOT want him to pitch game 1 and implode and set the wrong tone. Lilly I'd pretty much be comfortable with anywhere in the rotation. But it's hard to argue that Dempster hasn't been the clear cut ace this year.

More and more I'd like to see Dempster, Harden, Lilly, Zambrano as our 7 game series playoff rotation.

Lilly stays efficient and his ERA will be under 4.00 today.
