    My grandpa died at 89 without sniffing the World Series. Is that enough PAIN? I'm so sick of this. It's disgusting.

    Still a lot of time for them to crush you again. In fact, I fully expect two wins and then the real heartbreak next Tuesday. And yes, the glass is half empty in my life. :(

    DLee did do that. He has been showing more emotion these past few weeks than I have ever seen before. The pressure on these guys to win must be so crushing. More crushing than any other team out there. Just imagine how many times they are told about parents, grandparents, etc. that just want to see one World Series win in their lifetimes. FWIW, I didn't mind the emotion from Lilly last night.

    Same here. I will never again be the same Cubs fan after Game 6 in 2003. I made plans to watch the WS with my grandfather that night late in that game. He died two years later. Still ticks me off to just think about that. :evil: I will never forgive that team.

    mine is april. i will not let them become a cub fan. That would be considered child abuse if we did, right? My 20 month old sings Go Cubs Go when she sees the games on TV. I am a sick bastage to do it to her. I'm reporting you.

    Well at least my first born due in February will come into the world on the 100 year anniversary. Kind of cool, huh?

    I don't have the overall stats, but I know one team who in 1984 came back to win a five game series after being down 0-2. You do have a point there.

    And if I hear one more time how the players don't think about Bartman, and curses, and fan expectations, and 99 years and Leon Durham and goats and on and on, I am going to scream. The amount of pressure each of these players must feel every single inning must be immense. So stop saying you don't think about it! It's obvious you do!

    Ah but the pundits will blame Lou. As they should, he has been terrible this series. Agreed. But I think the real blame lies with our BIG THREE. Oh...and Bartman.

    It still boggles my mind that Red Sox fans thought their pain and agony was worse than ours before they won it all. They can't hold a candle to us.

    This is actually the worst day of my life not involving death/deadly illness Game 7. 2003. Game 5, 1984. I thought game 6 was way worse. Nothing will ever top Game 6. EVER. That was pure evil.
