  1. After reading @elizadushku and her account of her abuse, and then reading the #MelisaReidy stuff that came out today ... I'm feeling really bleh about mankind. Then I realized I was still following Russell on IG, so I unfollowed him.

  3. Those who have a subscription.
  4. Extremely sad. A "rock" is an understatement... it was a boulder as it's being reported. RIP
  5. Bleacher Report released their "Top 25 Free Agent Predictions" prior to the Winter Meetings beginning. They only have the Cubs signing Zach Britton for 3/$33M.
  6. I don't know why, but I'm really disappointed the Cubs didn't go after Diaz. I know we don't have prospects to trade, but this is why guys off the main roster could have been packaged with some mid-level prospects to get a quality closer like Diaz.
  7. It's just been reported that Seattle is prime for a sell-off this offseason, but they have to be wowed with their returns. I'm not sure we have the pieces, but I think they should be interested in Edwin Diaz.
  8. I like these ideas/points. I will work something out that makes sense.
  9. Okay - I've mapped some stuff out and here's the problem with teams by position instead of tiers. Unless you want to have a team different than everyone else, you wind up with a team full of "A" players. Not saying that they'd all stay to form from 2018, but you never know. Thoughts?
  10. I don't know if this has been mentioned, because I don't care to look through the thread. HOWEVER ... should Milwaukee win the World Series, the last four WS Winners would be: Royals, Cubs, Astros, and Brewers. Let that sink in.
  11. This could get some consideration ... I like the idea.
  12. In theory, I like the idea of a draft, however we would end up with more teams that cannot compete. First and second half winners would work, if we were giving out prizes like the old days. Expanding the rosters might work... I'll have to think on that one.
  13. I do have a life, and yes it gets busy at times, but I still enjoy running the NSBB HR Derby every season. Maybe one of these years I'll finish in the Top 5. That being said, as we approach the 13th (documented) season of Home Run Derby... I'd like to ask everyone what they'd like to see changed / added / updated / removed /etc. to brainstorm some good ideas. I will then see what makes sense, and implement as needed.
  14. I would have to go back and check those 3 years I mentioned.
  15. We had the closest finish in 12 documented seasons of the NSBB HR Derby! In 2007, 2012, and 2015, the difference was two... this season... JUST ONE HR WAS THE DIFFERENCE! That Home Run ? Nolan Arenado ... in the 9th inning ... of a tie-breaker game #163! Congrats to REPEAT CHAMPION: Duke Silver FINAL 2018 HR DERBY SCOREBOARD ========================================= 1.
