If the management of this team thinks Aaron freaking Miles is going to come in and help our offense, then that says all that needs to be said about our front office and Lou. They thought hed be able to replace DeRosa without a problem, so you never kno whats going on in that war room. To me, it became pretty clear from Hendry's words about why the DeRosa deal was done that he doesn't have the money, and doesn't have the permission, to make any big moves. When youre low on money, the smart thing to do isnt throw a huge contract at a guy with an extensive history of physical and mental issues.

Only thing Lou will change is the batting order. Still gonna consist of a bunch of crap. You are probably right, but the "its still early" thing isnt really true anymore. Something needs to be done to light a fire under these guys asses, and something needs to be done to help this offense. In think its been long enough that if a move or chsnge were to be made, it would have been made by now. With Miles due back Wednesday, he'll probably be the change. This team is just not very good

I give up, you win. This team is not good, and its going to take a lot more than some stop gap third baseman to right the ship. This is a disaster, and aside from the rotation, they are not fun to watch. Right now, were a middle of the pack team in a middle of the pack division. -

Aside from the 5 starting pitchers, Angel Guzman, and Derrek Lee, this entire team is a joke. Offense, bad, defense, bad, bullpen, bad.

Brewers lost and Cards are doen 6-2 in the 8th, so theres that. I hate having to scoreboard watch in June.

If depends if they find him or Ascanio first when digging through the cob webs. How long will it take the Cubs to figure out that they have needed an extra pinch hitter many more times than they have needed a 12th pitcher? Do they even realise they have a 12th pitcher?

this sure is some ball club we have here on the north side of Chicago. Soriano should be hitting 6th or 7th in the lineup at best, and that says alot considering how bad the rest of these guys have been.

Good, but much like the rest of the rotation, not quite good enough for the minf bogglingly horrible offense and bullpen.

I suppose if the Cubs were to choose to take a year off, this would be a good one. I cant see any NL team beating the Dodgers in October.
