  1. I think your missing the intentional humor in this thread... Perhaps.
  2. Those replies prove my point. WSI has a place they put the Cubs threads to keep them away from everything else. Not to promote their existence. There are many other posts in that section. Have you even read the section description? Additionally, most of the time, people give others a rash of s$% for those threads. It is by no means the majority. But hey, keep feeding the stereotypes.
  3. This is one of the most ironic and stereotypical threads I have read on this site. I real all kinds of baseball web sites. Congratulations. You guys seriously think that Sox fans are of 'lower class'? Please. Both teams attract fans of all social and economical classes. People in this thread seriously think that all Sox fans are poor white trash with mullets and no income? Are you all homosexual drunken frat boys? Do you see what I did there? Stereotypes are pathetic. You talk about how Sox fans pay attention to the Cubs too much, yet this thread is the same, in reverse. This thread proves nothing other than certain people are in serious need of an outlet.... That is all.
  4. You've got to be kidding me. Throwing trash on a field (or any property that does not belong to you) is, pardon the pun, trashy. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of behavior. To see people seemingly condoning this behavior disgusts me. There is no time, there is no place, for people to throw trash onto a field of play. Throwing anything on the field is expressly prohibited on ticket stubs still, isn't it?
  5. I have been reading this board a long time. That being said, this is probably one of the most ridiculous statements I have ever read here. Actually, here or on any of many other baseball boards I read. I'm guessing that you are not a Chicago resident or if you are, probably not born here. Call it ridiculous and put your blinders on but I live on the South Side and the hate towards Sammy and Frank Thomas from Sox fans based on race is voiced even to this day, even with both of them out of Chicago. It is just a sad reality of life in Chicago. Racism runs deep, especially on the South Side. I'm giving you my observation of one reason why Sox fans hate Sammy, I'm not condoning it or maintaining that it is the only reason they hate him. You do know what happens when you assume, right? Sammy /= Frank. Different situations. Racism has nothing to do with this particular situation.
