well...it is time for a smoke and then the second installment of the harry potter series i can't believe how young they used to be!!! oh yeah.. go cubs... :?:
Don't you get it - that was a fake winning streak they were on. i don't believe that Why? This isn't a good team that was playing over their heads for a while against bad teams. that simply isn't true though fatal mistake: not making a deal at the deadline they have the players...they have the talent...heck, you can even argue that it was all starting to come together as a team...the best way to win championships... give me some really good reasons describing exactly how they were playing over their heads for two straight months? Fontenot, Theriot, Marquis, Hill and De Rosa were having "career months." that does not constitute a fake winning streak...for a team to win a championship...everybody must contribute at some time or another...one could argue that what the cubs just went through is definitely a sign pointing towards a championship team...

He's a heck of a nice guy. Pretty much what I was going to say. He's got some good leadership ability from what I've heard, but uh.... that's it. Yeah, I wish he wasn't such a stand up guy.. I could easily hate him then. His being nice makes it a bit difficult, at least for me. We don't really have a legitamate reason to hate anyone on the team. i don't know about that...i am seriously starting to dislike lou I'm just coming from the angle that hate shouldn't really be used to describe ones feelings towards anyone as a result of what they do on a baseball diamond. yeah...but dislike is another matter... and i do say i hate players from time to time fielder but i don't really mean it in its truest sense

He's a heck of a nice guy. Pretty much what I was going to say. He's got some good leadership ability from what I've heard, but uh.... that's it. that is why he should be the pinch hitter...along with very, very occasional starts...you know...when the numbers are just outrageously in his favor
Would help if you better explained the correlation between Lou and how badly the Cubs are doing of late... right...i will try to chime in here... it is late and i am tired...so...if i just skim the surface i will try to give some more info in the morning... Piniella Piniella Piniella... 1. he has a problem with matt murton 2. he starts angel pagan 3. he slots cedeno in the 2 hole 4. he already blatantly said that he wasn't sure what to do with the outfield after soriano got injured... 4. this one is not hard to figure out let me lay it out for the folks here... floyd...PINCH HITTER LF: Murton/Patterson (technically i can't stand platoons, but we know that lou apparently loves them) CF: Pie/Patterson (oh noes! two lefties! oh friggin well) RF: Jacque Jones/Pie/Derosa SS: Theriot 2nd: Derosa/Fontenot easy done simple finished let them play Piniella will not do this and we will now start a painful skid into oblivion
yeah, but looking at the above picture...you would have to be looney to think his arms didn't get bigger...look at the size of his biceps in the first picture my god
while we do have problems against lefties.... 1. we face way more righties 2. defense is not the problem, offense, namely power, is. dunn remedies this. 3. we have some tradeable commodities. 4. soriano goes to right, dunn stays in left. yeah...soriano went down earlier in the year...moved from CF to LF...so...it is only natural to assume...given the soon to be acquisition of Dunn...that he will move to RF upon his return to the club third time is a charm, right?
