  1. Well if they were in it solely to make money, they of course would want to win more, because winning draws fans. SEE THE TRIBUNE COMPANY...
  2. I pretty much agree with everything, but I don't like the fact that the Royals don't seem to want to get better. It seems like the Pirates and Brewers at least try. The Royals just seem to be in it solely to make money. I hate the Florida teams because of their fans. Now, retract or relocate... if they could find a good market (like OK City), then I'm all for relocating, but I don't know if they can.
  3. Looks like the center field thing was really doing a number on him.
  4. Personally, I'd love to see some teams like the Royals, Devil Rays, and Marlins retracted. I'm sure there are a couple of more in there too. It would be better for the game because the league wouldn't be watered down with pitchers that should still be in the minors. What do you guys think?
  5. That's a pretty dumb argument. The fact is, he's hitting almost .250 with more homeruns and RBI's than our entire outfield.
  6. Well, he's averaging well over 9K's/per 9 innings. I do agree with you about the walks though. I think that he can be a serviceable major leaguer.

  8. He's a LHP for the Razorbacks. http://www.purplerow.com/story/2007/1/6/203737/5993

  10. Anyone have any inside info on the Prior situation. Was anything found?
  11. I thought that I read that he was supposed to start for one of the minor league teams today? If so, how did he do?
  12. I must not be very well informed then. I haven't seen anyone else demand that, but that's not something that I look for. I do know that if they are on the 40 man roster they are then protected by the MLBPA, and at that time wouldn't have been required to take certain drug tests. I hope that I'm wrong on the whole thing, and that he returns to normal.
  13. Does anyone remember what one of the sticking point in Prior's contract was whenever he got drafted? It was that he had to be added to the 40-man roster immediately. The reason for this? My guess is that he was on something then and didn't want to be subjected to testing. At that time, they didn't test for 'roids in the majors, just the minors, and since they've started testing in the majors, Prior's never been the same. I hope I'm wrong, but it certainly makes me wonder.
