    I predict the Cubs will win more than 90 games.

    And 0 AL teams have been officially eliminated from contention. Even crazier to me: the second to last team, the Tigers, have the same magic # (8) as the Nationals.

    While I certainly wouldn't freak out, it is worth noting that the Pirates are 50-25 at PNC and 37-34 on the road. You want that game at Wrigley.

    I also really feel like the Cubs are very capable of playing 2 games better than the Pirates the rest of the way.

    Another fun fact: With a DBacks loss tonight, the Nationals and Giants will be the only two teams left in contention for the WC behind the Cubs. Giants are down to 9 heading into tonight's game.

    Does make that first one sting a bit, but can't be too upset. Indeed, but they went into Pittsburgh in a playoff-like atmosphere and took care of business. Have to be thrilled with that.

    Here at Fred's instructions. I HOPE YOU'RE OK OUT THERE TREE. Cubs did what they needed to in the Pirates series, taking 3/4 and now sit a scant 2 games back. I dunno about you folks, but I'm done worrying about catching the Cardinals. Having that wild card game at Wrigley however, could be huge. PLUS, this series is a big chance for the Cubs to gain on the Bucs as they are on the road in LA and facing Grienke and Kershaw in the first two games.     Good lord, stuff goes wrong sometimes. That's just how these things go. Everyone slides like that. I think it's more fucked up that Law is basically accusing Coghlan of trying to injure Kang.
