  1. Yea the Boise Radio guy confirmed it was Jay Mer
  2. Looking forward to another Rosario start today. So what is the story with Rhee and Beeler this year? I know a lot of folks around here had hopes for them coming into the season and I'd imagine most of those have been somewhat dashed. They both seem to have had their control deteriorate a bit. What are the hopes for them going forward? Bullpen candidates?
  3. Vogelbach now 2-2 on the night and batting .452 overall
  4. Neither do I. Wasn't aware I had upset him so much.
  5. There's a joke in there somewhere.
  6. that's pretty ironic, given your frequent exaggerated hysterics and myopia over Jackson Woah. And speaking of exaggeration...
  7. Dude is perilously close to batting .300+ (he's at .299)
  8. Anyone else feel that Kevin Goldstein is just a smidge stubborn regarding Szczur?
  9. I'd have to think that if that were so, he wouldn't have been protected from the Rule 5. Remember, Ryan Flaherty, was looking a lot better than Vitters ever did last year, and they let him go. Uhh, Flaherty OPSed .676 at AAA last season as a 25-year old. And even if you add in his AA #'s that year, he's still at an .824 OPS overall (compare to Vitters' current .860).
  10. Speaking of which, Vitters just hit his second 2B of the night. Sadly it was on the first pitch and doesn't count.
  11. I'd have to think that if that were so, he wouldn't have been protected from the Rule 5. Remember, Ryan Flaherty, was looking a lot better than Vitters ever did last year, and they let him go. He did not look a lot better than Vitters ever did last year.
  12. Things going normally in Iowa. Brett with a K and Vitters with an RBI double
  13. Nothing groundbreaking, but nice to see nonetheless.
  14. Seriously. After glancing at his numbers, why the hell would they want to do this deal?
  15. Castro and Vitters both walked TWICE today. What the hell is going on!?
  16. He's certainly looking like he has AAA figured out. I kinda hope they just let him stay there the whole year and not move him up again. There's sort of a catch 22 involved. While I would like to see him get at least a half season in thr big leagues, so we could get some idea whether or not he could be ready to contribute next year and how to proceed with Ian Stewart, I'd also like to give Ian Stewart the reast of the season, when he's healthy to to decide how to proceed with Ian Stewart, and obviously, we can't have both. In a perfect world, both can be full time contributers and Vitters is able to successfully convert to LF, and Stewart finally pulls it together when his wrist is fully healed. He is not ready for half a season in the big leagues.
  17. I'd say he's a better prospect than Dolis. I suspect he'll be an 8th inning guy at the very least.
  18. He's certainly looking like he has AAA figured out. I kinda hope they just let him stay there the whole year and not move him up again.
  19. Trey Martin is now a Boise Hawk. Pretty pumped to see what he can do there.
  20. Amaury Paulino - Boise Hawks to AZL Cubs Trey Martin - AZL Cubs to Boise Hawks (!!!)
  21. Thibs just said on Waddle and Silvy that he doesn't think Deng will need surgery and will be ready opening night. wtf?
