Wow....wonder why? I don't feel confident going into this game. I feel like it'll be close and we will make more mistakes then the 49ers. I hope I'm wrong and I can celebrate a victory tonight That was probably everyone's assumption about your feelings.
Fun speculation from Bleacher Nation http://www.bleachernation.com/2012/11/19/lukewarm-stove-blue-jaysmarlins-hold-up-upton-upton-greinke-and-a-big-trade-on-deck/
Problem is, he's barely an outfielder. And he's probably not very good either. This. His defense is turrible. He makes the most sense for a team in need of a first baseman and that's not the Cubs.
Because these players would have signed to play in Toronto instead of Miami? Dubious. This. Also, good [expletive] luck to the Marlins ever: a.) Landing a big name free agent; and b.) Getting any halfway decent player to sign without a no-trade clause; while Loria still owns the team. This has got to leave them with a terrible reputation among players.
On a more serious note, I'm somewhat concerned about the ramifications this will have for sports going forward. Any time a team asks for public help building/renovating a stadium, the local and state governments are going to point to this.
