  1. Yay, Evan Rodriguez sighting!
  2. Well that's a pretty ideal start.
  3. Semi-related, so I will leave this here:
  4. In response to the two above posts, from BleacherNation: http://www.bleachernation.com/2012/12/02/more-details-and-thoughts-on-kyuji-fujikawas-reported-contract-and-other-bullets/
  5. I believe we had one last year and figured I'd put one up here for the rumors that will likely start swirling tomorrow. Here's hoping we see something good.
  6. Need a pick for Flex: Beanie Wells vs. NYJ or Danario Alexander vs. CIN
  7. I agree. But he is getting paid closer's money, so if trading him nets a useful return and frees up some money to buy another reliever or two, that would be all right. But he's a useful bullpen piece that shouldn't be dealt just for the sake of it. This. A Marmol-Fujikawa end of the pen could be a lot of fun. As of right now the pen actually looks pretty damn solid.
  8. No idea on his stats, but he hit his 4th homer today and according to TopProspectAlert, hes making a run at player of the league. Actually got around to looking them up. This is apparently heading into today: 113 AB, .336 BA, .402 OBP, .478 SLG, .879 OPS, 33/11 K/BB, 8/1 S/CS (with 5 errors) Really looking forward to see what he can do in the PCL I believe he's mostly been playing OF. Yeah I think I heard that somewhere as well.

  10. Shrug. Again just said it was news to me. Sadly didn't follow the minors as much back then. Man looking over that 2007 draft makes me sad. What a stacked year that was.
  11. Figured I'd put this here as I found it interesting and hadn't heard some of this before. Kaplan went on a mini-rant after the Fujikawa signing:
  12. Two years with vesting option for a third.
  13. Dude has been brutal today. Doesn't he have anything better to do on his birthday than retweet happy birthday wishes 67848569 times?
  14. Wow, I had no idea. Anyone know the latest on how Lake is doing?
  15. wtf does that mean? Wow that seems to be pretty pushy for a VWL team.
  16. Just saw that, what does that mean? Did the Cubs bring him back or did he really get dumped by a winter league team? There's been some baseless speculation that it could be trade related. Makes since with the need to get the roster back to 40. Makes sense, I'm not going to get too excited of trading Vitters solely in and of himself as I doubt he'd yield much but some sort of larger package including him for something good-decent (Bauer/Upton/one of the Royals young guys/etc.) certainly intrigues me Yea that would certainly make sense. It struck me as quite weird that a Venezuelan Winter League team would just drop him like that.
  17. Bears have signed G/C Andre Gurode to the active roster, waived DT Amobi Okoye. Per Rotoworld:
  18. Dirty play. Cutler is classless for instigating the defender. He even drew a taunting 15yd penalty, so he's careless too and a total moron too. Oh geez. It was dumb, but hilarious. Yea seriously. A dirty play is Jared Allen's hit on Lance Louis. Cutler's flip was certainly dumb, but not dirty.
