  1. Ok dudes, who do you want the Cubs choosing with the second overall pick on the 6th? I'm admittedly in the likely minority on this one. Edit: Went with Bryant
  2. Awesome. EDIT: That was of course in response to the Golden news.
  3. This leaves Daytona with just 23 players, 12 pitchers (7 relievers plus Cates/Wells/Burke/Francescon/Kirk), and 11 hitters. There will likely be a couple more bodies heading to Daytona soon. That's pretty intriguing.
  4. Here's hoping Hendricks can keep it rolling
  5. Because Bleacher Nation is awesome:
  6. Looking forward to seeing Dunston and Golden in Boise. Who do you guys expect to make the rotation? I'd figure Lang and Underwood would likely be in there, no? Yeah, and Blackburn too. Beyond that, it gets iffy. Maybe Hamann? I always forget Blackburn for some reason. Hamann would make sense. Should be a pretty fun rotation.
  7. Yea I haven't really been able to understand the preemptive negativity about the Trestman hire.
  8. Looking forward to seeing Dunston and Golden in Boise. Who do you guys expect to make the rotation? I'd figure Lang and Underwood would likely be in there, no?
  9. Almora begins his DH with a double. I'm starting to think he was anxious to play or something.
  10. Pretty jazzed for a KC double header, you guys.
  11. Vitters actually ended up with 2 walks on the evening. Niceeeeee
  12. Glad to see Castillo get the bump up to AA.
  13. Josh Vitters currently holds a 5:9 BB:K ratio. wut
  14. And the KC team finally reaches its peak in terms of must see box scores.
  15. Welcome back, Mr. Almora. 3/4
  16. So of course Brett goes on to K twice and get pulled for a reliever.
  17. BJax with a triple off Zack Wheeler in his first AB.
  18. Here's hoping the changes to his swing are actually having an impact.
  19. My fantasy teams thank you.
  20. Iowa will be facing Zack Wheeler today. Also, you've really gotta figure Castillo moves up to AA sometime soon.
  21. More fun with SSS: Christian Villanueva is batting .338 with a .939 OPS in the month of May.
  22. I was poking around last night, and I found two interesting things as it pertained to Baez. There were some very good hitters who posted poor numbers in A+ as 20 year olds. Most notably, Robinson Cano. .276/.313/.377. Miguel Cabrera was a little better as a 19 year old in A+ but no great shakes (.274/.333/.421). Matt Kemp walked 25 times versus 92 Ks, and CarGo had 30 walks and K'd 104 both as 20 year olds in A+. Carlos Beltran had a much better 2:1 ratio but only hit .229/.311/.363 while the same age and at the same level as Baez. But what really stood out to me was the sheer number of talented hitters who's numbers took a big jump from A+ to AA and from their age 20 to their age 21 years. It seemed to be a fairly consistent trend. Great research work, sir.
