  1. Whenever Wuertz walks the first guy he sees, bad things happen. Prove me wrong!
  2. Then you have the Sox broadcast. Cubs are on CSN today.
  3. They're probably all south siders. It's what makes beautiful people like me so unique around here. Ditto
  4. I just heard that Bowen was moved up to 6th in the lineup and DeRosa is out. I wonder if he's having another migrane?
  5. The Tribune's Paul Sullivan says that Barrett was the clubhouse "mole" that leaked information to ESPN that made it appear like Piniella had lost the team. Barrett did not get along with Piniella and after his "mole" status was revealed he was shipped out.
  6. The Cubs broadcast is on WGN with Len Kasper & Bob Brenly. The Sox broadcast is on CSN with Ha*gets shot* A lot better than the last series... The Cubs were on CSN, and the Sox were on WGN. Some fans dont have CSN... So they suffered, DJ. Last series they split the games. One of them was the White Sox crew, and one of them was Len and Bob (the third game was FOX). With Len and Bob doing Friday here, does this mean that Len and Bob get two of the three games? Please? Fox didn't want to pick up this miserable series (lol) and ESPN declined to take over the Sunday game which had a TBA time for a long while. This time around, each broadcasting crew will do all three games on alternating networks (WGN & CSN).

Some fans dont have CSN... So they suffered, DJ. That's just today. The teams are alternating; Cubs on WGN today, CSN tomorrow, and WGN on Sunday (the Sox will do the reverse).
  8. Cubs and Pirates traded players in 2003 that helped them reach the postseason. It happens. Ugh. I can't believe my memory failed me that way. I'll just find a nearby hole and jump in. 8-[ No, you're right, it's rare but I wouldn't think that it's out of the question if both sides can agree. The Reds, like the Pirates, may be willing to take a longer view on their plans to compete. As a result, they may be willing to add another young starter (and other young players) to pitch alongside Homer Bailey. In the long run, they would be better off, if the players develop, because Griffey doesn't have too many productive years left (at least not in the NL).

  10. CPatt's hitting .212?
  11. Bowen K's on a 3-2 pitch. I like his patience.
