Completely false. That makes a lot of sense. See the post right below this yours. Not to mention that Pie gets amazing reads on balls and has a superb throwing arm; two things that Jones does not have. I don't know why people are calling for Pie and Murton's heads. It really makes little sense. This is about hitting not defense. You can't say that Pie is a better hitter right now than Jones because it just isn't true. The future is another thing altogether. Pie still needs to work on his hitting; he's not a finished product! As stated before, Pie projects to have almost an identical OPS to Jacque Jones this year. Projections about MiL players don't mean anything. Pie has to hit. He has a lot of offensive weaknesses that ML pitchers will exploit.
