That has nothing to do with how many he will hit this season. Neither does the rest of the thread. Why does it matter when he hits a homer? He's still hitting well and that's all that matters. This is overblown. What does that have to do with what gflore said? Comparing him to Juan Pierre or David Eckstein is ridiculous. Even if both of those guys hit homers tomorrow it wouldn't prove that Lee can't hit home runs. No one compared him to them, give me a break. Someone said he thinks they will hit a HR before he does. That's not even close to the same thing. Then why name two extremely light hitters? You give me a break.

This is overblown. not really... it's not uncommon for players to lose power after a wrist injury. If Lee goes from a 30-40 HR threat to a guy who can't hit 20 HR, that's a big deal. Let's not get carried away. Lee hit 40+ homers once. if anything, he's a 28-30 (maybe 35) homer guy to begin with.

Absolutely not. The wind was blowing out yesterday and Marquis was fine. The homers that were hit today were bombs and would go out on almost any day! He was putting his pitches on a tee.

Don't get too excited. Lou stressed the need for a 12th pitcher in the postgame press conference. The bullpen was over taxed again today. He said they can't go without 12 pitchers any longer. Either Pie goes down or someone goes on the DL.

Not me. I'm not worried about him and I really don't care if he hits a ton of homers; he has XB power, is getting on base, and maintaing a nice BA.

I'd take Eckstein over the crap we have at SS right now. He'd hit .211 on the Cubs. he's barely hitting above that now.

NOW THE CUBS ARE IN ANOTHER SITUATION WHERE THEY HAVE TO RELY ON ZAMBRANO TO PITCH DEEP INTO THE GAME. :x HE BETTER PITCH WELL TOMORROW AFTER TALKING SMACK ABOUT THE BREWERS.

Please, give it a rest. The game wasn't lost because he didn't hit a homer. He scored 3 runs today. This game was about poor pitching.
