    I'm getting sick of these Blues knuckleheads. This guy I got into it with is ticked that Seabrook only got 3 games. Should have been 10+. He's also pisses that Bickel isn't suspended. He can't wait to be done with this series, because the Blackhawks are just a bunch if talentless goons. (That's almost a direct quote.)

    I'm sure I don't have to tell you this. Blues fans may be devoted, but they're not the brightest bunch. I just got into it on a friend's wall with some dude I don't know. He kept trashing the Hawks, (saying both quotes above), so I finally stepped into it. Proved he was an idiot, etc. he replied "we're up 2-0. That's all I need to say." That was an easy one to respond to. "When was the last time you had the Cup? Or won in the first round?"

    Because Stan Musial. That's why. And on a serious note, I think he was asking if anyone was better than those two. The guy asking the question likes to have civil baseball discussion that usually turns into people saying the Cubs suck after a while.

    I've resisted entering this idiotic debate that came up on my facebook feed... "Best catcher in MLB history? Between Bench and Yogi... you do you think?" Just about every Stl moran chimed in with "No catcher has ever been as good defensively as Yadi, plus, he brings a top 5 bat with him. Look at his numbers. They don't lie." (ok, so that's kind of a compilation of the comments) Yadi is good, but as far as recent catchers go, Pudge was better defensively, wasn't he? Definitely offensively. And Piazza is the best offensive catcher, right?

    Wasn't Hack Wilson like 5'4? He was built like a truck too, I still can't imagine him playing CF. He just looks like he would be super slow. According to B-R, he was 5'6". I had no idea. How does someone that small hit so many homers?

    Top 100 picks losing playing time in one of their 4 years on their rookie contracts to players who either aren't very good or aren't part of this team's future, when the team should be rebuilding on defense. This team has missed in the draft at an alarming rate the past 5 years. Sure we have G Long who at this point is an average to an above average player and Alshon who's had a great year. But we haven't picked a defensive player worth a damn in a long time. If this team misses on these next 1-2 drafts, we're in for a world of pain. Thanks for pointing this out. Someone that hadn't read your last 30 or so posts in this thread might not have known your position on the Bears drafting history. I've reached the point (perhaps later than others) where I believe CubbyVirus is a joke account several steps behind RawDog.

    And apparently Andrus has a sore right arm, though I don't think it's supposed to be serious. Seems like they could definitely use Barney. I doubt they bring up Odor, and I don't see many internal options for them. They might be a little gun shy about dealing with Theo again after the last 2 trade deadline deals we've made with them. Especially after their GM pretty much admitted to being short sighted and getting taken advantage of in the Garza deal. That's fine, just get rid of Barney and take cash That's my thought. How is Valbuena at 2nd? I'd be ok with him there if he is even mediocre.
