Wins for pitchers are highly over rated IMO, as long as the team wins I don't care which pitcher gets credit for it and neither should they. Why must this be debated every time its mentioned. He got the ND for a game it would be nice to have gotten him a win for, simple as that. I don't think it has to be debated. It's common sense that wins are a team stat, and that starting pitchers only have a fraction of the control over them. It's the most overrated stat in the game. And no has said to the contrary. Why must it be mentioned every time? I think it's like a defense mechanism, people are so sick of the misconception about wins as a stat, they attack it whenever possible. Makes sense. It is a overrated stat that means nothing. You could be a great pitcher for the Nationals or some other offensivley plagued team, and lose because your team can't put a run or two on the board. The pitcher has only like 25 percent control over it. As long as they have the sparkling ERA, thats all that matters. Haha, yes! Explained again.
