  1. I <3 Rich Hill... and I REALLLLY <3 Ks by the opposition. Anyone else weirded out by that Dos Equis "Package" commercial... just what I'd want, some old dude checking out "the coins in my pocket".
  2. Right in the middle, at the knees... and Weeks actually questioned it. There's a reason you were sent down to the minors, Rickie..... GET IWMSAN OUT!!
  3. Rich... umm, strikes would be nice bud!
  4. Got the Cards/Stros game on another TV, place looks like a mausoleum. NOBODY in the stands.
  5. Lou owes me money for plagiarizing my lineup ideas.
  6. Either way, it will just add to the playoff atmosphere. I wish ESPN would show Wednesday night's game. But there's no chance since its the Yankees and Red Sox. btw, whatever happened to ESPN's blackout secondary/regional games? Tomorrow night would be the perfect spot for that. Let me go check real quick, but I could have swore that cubs.com schedule lists Thursday's game as being simulcast on ESPN. My bad. Its next Wednesday night's game vs the Dadgers.

  8. This is one time that I'm definitely hoping Mr. Miles is correct! I sure hope he is right. Sweep the Brewers and kick 'em to the curb for the rest of the season. And then just worry about the Cardinals.
  9. Let's sweep the Brews and, in the process, kick them to the curb. Then focus all our attention on holding off the Cardinals.
  10. Lous already said Soriano leading off and Theiot 2nd. Fixed.
  11. Here's to hoping the lineup will look like this on Tuesday night; Theriot, SS Soriano, LF Lee, 1B ARam, 3B Floyd, RF DeRosa, 2B Jones, CF Kendall, C Hill, P Which means it will most likely actually look like so; Soriano, LF Jones, CF Lee, 1B ARam, 3B Monroe, RF Theriot, 2B Kendall, C Fontenot, SS Hill, P
  12. Hahahahha, Cincy finishing above the Cubs and Brewers? Wow thats a real pipe dream. I know. I mean, I realize that they've won 6 in a row but come on. It's the Reds. Yea, and we are the Cubs, so whats your point? That they have a bad team this year and the Cubs don't. Errr... I see it as; Without Soriano, Cubs = horribly bad offensive team. With Soriano, Cubs = mediocre offensive team.
  13. Unless MIL can somehow post 3 losses after playing just one game, I'm sadly thinking that's not gonna happen. You do realize that the Cubs are 1.5 ahead of the Brewers, right? A win and a brewers lost turns it into a 2.5 game lead. You do realize that I'm pessimistically not counting on the Cubs winning today, right? A loss and only 3 Brewers losses would make it a 2.5 game lead at that point. I'll happily eat crow until I puke, and then shovel some more down the hatch, to be wrong about the Cubs losing... but just a gut feeling. Sigh. I didn't eat crow, but had some chicken. I hate it when the gut feelings are right. :(
  14. Complete knee-jerk, but I could the NL Central looking like this after Thursday's games are over; StL 66-64 -- CHC 67-65 -- MIL 67-66 0.5 CIN 63-70 4.5 And real good chance Cubs finish 3rd or 4th in the division. Thinking Cards-Cincy-Cubs-Brewers.
  15. Why? Even if it works, I'm complaining. Yeah right. Yeah so, I'm the first to call out decisions that are bad even if they work We hadn't scored since what? The 3rd inning? Sorry, but that was not a bad decision, it was bad execution. Kendall couldn't execute the bunt, and then he couldn't execute with the runners moving. It's that simple. But why put him in that position?? Oh well, doesn't matter. We wouldn't have have scored regardless, so pointless to argue who's fault it was.
  16. Who didn't see that inning coming, after the first 2 guys got on.
  17. Or he walks, and now a force out at every base is set up to end it. Cmon JJ... we need this win so ungodly badly.
  18. I'm sorry, but that was a HORRIBLE managerial call on sending the runners there... even if Kendall Ks, you still got 2 on, 1 down... yeah, there in DP positions... but now, Theriot HAS to get a solid hit here to tie the game.
  19. GJ Lou, and GJ Kendall. GDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Kendall's gotta swing away now... can't risk an out on another foul bunt.
  21. 1st and 2nd, no outs... we still lose 5-4, mark it down. Or lose it in the bot9th (or extras).
  22. Maybe later... since it didn't work out like I was most sure it would. Fake rally has started......
