  1. As bad as Barrett has been, I don't see any better options in our system or free agency.
  2. Ah! Eyre's going to get another chance for clean inning #5.
  3. I'd never thought I see the 2004 team topped, but it pretty much has so far. With this talent in this division the players should be embarrased. At least the 2004 squad waited until the last week to totally cave.
  4. His whip must be through the roof Before today it was 2.44. It's even higher now, which is just hard to contemplate.
  5. Fun fact: Scott Eyre has come in and not allowed a runner to reach base a grand total of four times out eighteen appearances.
  6. Good to see that Scotty can handle this incredibly high pressure situation.
  7. Lou's conceding this one. Have fun Eyre.
  8. I joked last night that we'd get shutout by Kim. I genuinely didn't think that even the Cubs were capable of getting shutout by a bum like him, but apparently I was wrong.
  9. Are you kidding me? It's BY frigging Kim! GET SOME RUNS
  10. Walking the number eight hitter is always a good decision.
  11. Kim obviously doesn't have good stuff today. We've gotta answer back.
  12. If we can't score runs against BY Kim, I'm going to have serious doubts about the gumption of this team. Not that I didn't have those doubts already.
  13. Can't just lay it in there on 0-2, Sean. That's the most frustrating thing in the world.
  14. Ick. That was scary. Speaking of scary, what the heck is up with Miggy's eye black?
  15. Jones has shown he can hit righties fairly well over his career. As much as I don't like the guy, I'm confident he's going to come around against the right handers.
  16. Great to see a soldier get the first pitch.
  17. Per http://www.drudgereport.com/. SCARE IN OUTFIELD: CINCI'S RYAN FREEL IN FULL-SPEED CENTERFIELD COLLISION... MOTIONLESS, TAKEN TO HOSPITAL IN AMBULANCE And rotoworld's take... http://www.rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines.aspx?sport=MLB&hl=210684 Freel got turned around and may have suffered whiplash when he and Hopper went shoulder-to-shoulder. Hopper was fine, but Freel was put into a neck brace and was still motionless coming off the field. The hope is the stretcher was simply a precautionary move A Reds fan I've talked to says it's quite serious. I hope he's okay.
