    A lot of people, including me, badly wanted Joe brought in to manage the team this offseason. Say he was brought in instead of Lou. How would things be different at this point in the season? It had been said that bringing in Girardi would be a signal that we were rebuilding, but I don't see how hiring the defending manager of the year would have sent that signal at all. So, what are we missing out on with Lou instead of Joe?

    Do we really want a firesale? Really? I think this is a pretty average team. We're still in the race. We're probably going to be in the race the entire year. The team that wins the division is going to be the one that gets hot in the end. As unimpressive as we are, that could be us. Do you really think we can string together wins? I think this team is going to be streaky all year. If we can get hot at the right time, who knows what can happen. I just think talking firesale when we're almost certainly going to be in it all the way is not a good idea.

    I can't be the only person here who actually doesn't mind Neal Cotts. He's certainly far more useful than Scott Eyre. I mean seriously, what does it take to get a DFA in this organization?

    With guys like Soto and Fox, it seems like we'd be putting automatic outs into the lineup. Granted, I think Soto is a good defensive catcher but the last thing this lineup needs is another easy out.
