  1. Wait, why wasn't Soriano playing anyway?
  2. A homer here would do wonders to make me actually think of this game as anything but one of the worst of the season.
  3. Can we please get a run? I've given up winning, but a run would be nice.
  4. A homer here would get us back in it... but it's Henry Blanco.
  5. I really wish we had gotten buried by June...This would be a lot less painful to watch and we'd get a decent draft pick. That's just ridiculous. WE'RE IN FIRST PLACE! Remember the feeling, we won't end September that way. Okay my king. Every piece of statistical evidence available says we will, but I'll go with your gut feeling.
  6. Since his hot start, Wuertz has been pretty much terrible.
  7. I really wish we had gotten buried by June...This would be a lot less painful to watch and we'd get a decent draft pick. That's just ridiculous. WE'RE IN FIRST PLACE!
  8. How are we getting dominated by Wandy [expletive] Rodriguez?
  9. Jesus Sean Marshall is trashy.
  10. Even though this goes against Big Ten pride, I think Mizzou is definitely going to beat up on Illinois. It won't be close. And hopefully we'll do the same to the Astros.
  11. what does "swing like a clean-up spot" even mean? I want all of my hitters trying to hit the ball hard somewhere, I hope you're not implying leadoff hitters should be slap hitters. We tried that already, it didn't work so well. I would hope youd know the difference between the job of a leadoff man and a clean up hitter. The job of the leadoff hitter is to get on base and produce runs produce runs. The job of the cleanup hitter is to get on base and produce runs. That's also the job of every other hitter in the lineup.
  12. The Cardinals disagree. So do the Reds, but that doesn't mean we should take them seriously.
  13. Even before this year, the Cubs organization said that he would be a future closer. They used him in a starting role at Iowa because there were starting spots available, but he is staying in the bullpen. Ha, there ya go. Didn't think there was a definitive answer out there.

Most everyone would agree with the "great guy," Brewers fans included. Doesn't matter to me though, I'm against the booing.
  15. I think the real question is, what is Carlos' role with the team next year? Are they going to try to regroom him into a starter or make him the closer?
  16. hahahhahahahhahahaha Oh man... hahahaha. No.
  17. I just could never take recording a game. I want to know if they won far too badly, and if they didn't, I don't want to waste my time watching it.
  18. And now we've gotta hear how this compares to the Sox highest rated game.
  19. who cares, Cubs are always going to lose no matter who is playing for the Cubs. This attitude would be less annoying if you didn't do it in every single post. I think you do it intentionally just to piss people off.
  20. If you made manny 3(? was that the season?) years younger and wound back his contract and put him on waivers again, he'd be grabbed. If the Cubs had twenty more wins, they'd be in first place by a mile.
  21. This is as much of a must win game as you'll get without actually being one.
  22. Hopefully that'll settle Z down. If balls keep getting hit that hard and he keeps falling behind, we're not gonna win.
