So should have the 2004 Cubs. Probably the worst product of the 2003 season was the 2004 expectation. Man, that team was loaded, and I was as excited about Cubs baseball as I had ever been. I had never been more excited for a baseball season than 2004, and quite frankly, save the last week, I had never seen a better Cubs team than 2004. Granted I'm not that old (20), but still. That team was stacked. It's hard for me to even comprehend what we were throwing out there... C Barrett 1B Lee 2B Walker SS Garciaparra 3B Ramirez LF Alou CF Patterson RF Sosa That's above average production at every single position. And nothing needs to be said about the starting staff. -
I think the right choice was made. No manager is perfect, but Lou is not costing us games, and that's really what we need.
