  1. I'll take Felipe Lopez, but only the 2005 version please.
  2. I'd consider a Weurtz for Marcus Thames trade.
  3. murton1 tossing out some gems in this thread I see...
  4. Sure, except this Ryan Church bats lefty, can catch a flyball and score from third on a ball hit to shortstop. The only valid argument in that post is that he is a left handed bat.
  5. We already have a Ryan Church, he is playing in Iowa.
  6. I'm pretty high on both, Pie has great speed and has 5-tool potential. And Marshall has a great curve and can hit a dime 60 feet away, He's got deadly accuracy. So you wouldn't trade Veal, Marshall, Cedeno Soto or Pie Veal Cedeno Soto for Rios?
  7. stash...i like how you think Thank you. This trade should be a no brainer...especially in todays market..I mean...look what Gary Matthews Jr. got this offseason! Gary freaking Matthews Jr!
  8. Take out either Marshall, or Pie. I'm not giving up both.
  9. I'd also like to add that when Ramirez came to the Cubs he was viewed as a butcher at 3B. Now he one of the better defensive third baseman in the NL. It isn't like Pena is a Cliff Floyd(who can barely move anymore). He has the range, and a pretty good arm. If I was Piniella, I would be begging Hendry to deal for this guy so my staff could work with him. An outfield arm trio of Soriano, Pie, and Pena could be something special.
  10. I would have no problem putting Pena in RF and batting him 7th everday and letting him "figure it out"(even for a team like the Cubs in the heat of a pennant chase) I understand the need to "win now", but I'd also like us to secure the future as well. I'm also concerned about D. Lee's power numbers dropping and I really think we need to add another bat in the OF. Ironically, Pena is pretty balanced vs lefties and righties. Over the past 3 seasons he has an 850 OPS vs lefties and 813 vs righties.
  11. bangs head on desk 10 times
  12. Can we just be Dunn with this thread?
  13. I worry about our 1B coach, Frank Sinatra's little bro, Matt. He doesn't appear swiftest of foot.
  14. Thinking like Hendry...oh, this could be a great thread.
  15. Man, thats a ton of work though...I'm really, really, lazy...Aramis Ramirez lazy
  16. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/ Personally, I wouldn't mind Willy Mo in RF at Wrigley if he is on the market...like the link said, he has 40 HR potential and is only 25.
  17. Well worth it's own thread.
  18. wow, making jokes about chemical imbalances. at least you were clever abou... oh wait, it wasn't clever either. your post had nearly formed a whole point for once, then that. good job. Shut the hell up chief....I have ADD myself, so I can joke about it all I want. Sounds like you don't have a lot of respect for yourself if you are saying things like that. What are we talking about again?
  19. In 534 AB's last season, Ronny had 17 BB's. I'm sure that had a bit to do with his struggles, in addition to the hangovers.
