    Great news, but even if Jacque Jones was ice cold, there would still be no need for Jay Payton. The 2 events are mutually exclusive. This organizaiton concerns me at times.

    With regards to Zambrano, I had a "Crap, or get off the pot" philosophy. The Cubs were nearly 10 games out of the dvision lead, compounded by the ownership situation, I didn't want the Cubs to lose Z for nothing. Either extend him or trade him. Obvisouly you can't trade him now in the heat of a pennant race, so I am prayng they will find a way to get a contract done this offseason.

    Another Bears season, an another year of that blowhart Hub Arkush. I heard some of the dumbest crap out of his mouth tonight 1) Claims the Bears have the worst WR in the NFC. 2) Even the Bears are 26-10 the last 2 seasons, claims the Bears make dumb un-orthadox moves Just general Bear bashing, know it all attitude.

    Luckily I haven't heard to much of an endorsement of Kendall by Piniella. The trade was pretty much a Hendry/Hughes thing. Laird was pretty good last season, but has been just terrible this year. I don't know about him.
