  1. Alright, I feel good about this inning for some reason.
  2. If we lose tonight and the Brewers win, we're still up 2 games with 5 to go. I don't understand why people are freaking out so much. The game is only in the 3rd inning. And if the same thing happens tomorrow we will only be up 1 game. Yes and if the same thing happens the next six games we lose. You can't translate how we play one game to how we will play in another. We're way too inconsistent. Yeah, and if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.
  3. Most. Annoying. Mistake. EVER. You and I totally interpreted his post in different ways.
  4. If I were a Cardinals fan (eww), I'd be mad that he's still playing and risking further injury. I can see that, but then perhaps Pujols really loves to play the game, and he probably won't take the day off until the season is officially over. Of course, that's just my assumption. Pujols really loves his 100 RBI's.
  5. Geez, we're getting blooped and bled to death.
  6. Pujols is playing, I'm happy Until he gets 100 RBI's....then let's see if he plays or not.
  7. A little better with Edmonds back in there. I guess. Man, that's sad to admit.
  8. I hope not, if he did he will play and rain pain upon all of us. I am thinking 7 homers in the three games we play. I don't think Dunn hates us. He was quite right pointing out the field conditions @ Wrigley -- others have mentioned the Cubs need to resurface soon. I don't view it as being a jerk or anything, he's just pointing out the facts. I hope the Wrigley grounds crew is working around the clock right now to get that field ready for any potential games still yet to be played there.
  9. Not sure if that's the Cubs' call.
  10. Sure, but it does affect the Cubs indirectly since the Padres still have a big series with the Brewers. Lane adds another bat to the Padres lineup.
  11. LOL at how the Brewers keep on trying to get ejected to fire up their team.
  12. There seems to be a date cutoff for the free MLB.TV archived feeds for whatever reason. I believe the earliest free archived MLB.TV feed is July 16 vs. San Fran, the game in which Aramis hit the 2-run double late for a 3-2 win at Wrigley. Good place to start. Damn...I wanted to watch the Kellie Pickler interview.
  13. Anybody find this to be remarkable since we've had some pretty bad seasons during that timespan? What is it about our coaching that develops strikeout pitchers so well?
  14. I wouldn't call it hurting the Cubs. I would call the help to the Brewers in the season and the hurting of the Padres in the playoffs about equal as far as the Cubs are concerned. The odds of the Padres and Cubs actually meeting in the playoffs are very slim for a whole shopping list of reasons. This does hurt the Cubs, primarily because the Brewers have to now deal with a less potent offense.
  15. I probably wouldn't have worded it as strongly, but I essentially agree. P.S. Why on earth is TBS hosting a playoff series? Good one, MLB. Why don't any major local networks (CBS, ABC, NBC) except Fox show MLB games? The same reason TBS is hosting a playoff series. $$$ I don't understand that. Why would limiting their audience make them more money? For commercials, isn't the mantra "the more, the merrier"?
  16. C'mon guys. For those of you who have more tickets than you need, sell one of them to Vance for what you paid. If anybody deserves to get tickets, it's him. I would much rather a real fan get to go to a game than a bandwagoner with deep pockets. Help this man out! I think vance has tickets to one of the games already. My thanks to Mark as well! Now, I need to get me a seat to game one. If not, I'll be packed in at the knot hole! Yep! Thanks to Mark_R, I'm good to go. Booked a plane ticket last night! Glad to hear it! Now if only someone could do the same for me.....
  17. This is my favorite one from this year, but it only covers up to the all-star break. Should be a bannable offense.
  18. Adam Greenberg more likely. And Adam Greenberg did step in the batter's box.
  19. Link He can't be on the playoff roster, but he can help out for the last week against the Brewers.
  20. Will there be an HD feed OTA? Nope. *rolls eyes* thanks for nothing, mlb.
  21. Beating a contending team when you have nothing to play for? oooh, you better believe that's a paddlin.
  22. Milton Bradley has not said anything about racism. In everything I've read about this, only one line was quoted about racism. That was from 1st base coach Meacham, and was only because he was asked.
