  1. Huh? I'm lost.
  2. Normally, if you get a guy on third with nobody out, you figure it'll score. With this team, it's like a man on third with nobody out, is a sure bet he'll be there three outs later. Horrible with RISP.
  3. I blame it on the dugout telephone.
  4. Swith-pitching Zambrano! LOVE IT!
  5. Exactly. Why did he let Green's homer get to him so much? Green is a good hitter, and he's doing what he's paid to do. Z has to keep it in perspective.
  6. There's not doubt the offense could do more (in most every game), but walking in a run is sickening at any point, and in my opinion, inexcusable. To walk in the winning run, in a game where you had a 4 run lead? Unreal. Just because the offense isn't doing its job, doesn't mean the relievers have to get in on the party.
  7. And Lee's AB's haven't looked good at all tonight.
  8. Kiss of death for Cubs pitchers -- slumping hitters on the other team.
  9. Someday I want a job where I can feel slighted if the offer is $15 mill from where I want it to be! It's a whole other way of living.
  10. Oops. I meant Blanco. The top half of the lineup looks great, though.
  11. No kidding. Pagan? DeRosa, Izturis and Pagan? Yuck. I hope they prove me wrong, but that sounds like a real "triple threat." Right.
  12. Yeah, I'm sure that's true. It always strkes me as odd that his name is never even mentioned anymore when they start talking about roster moves, pitching problems and all. Not a good sign but hopefully motivation to work harder and get back up.
  13. Cherry still has to win me over. I'm not at all convinced.
  14. I didn't know he had so much of those issues in his past. I'll assume the organization is doing "right" by him and he can be an effective part of the Major Leage club soon. I have a good feeling about him.
  15. Thanks a million, I appreciate that. I hope that his shoulder issues aren't anything more serious long term. With the Prior/Wood issues of the past few years, I cringe when I hear that tied to Marshall. If he stays healthy, I feel he could be a solid guy for us. I look forward to him getting the call again.
  16. Half of these young guys' arms are on their way to being trashed by the time they're 15. I'm not surprised at all to see the toll it takes once they're drafted nor cases like Prior or Wood.
