Wins for pitchers are highly over rated IMO, as long as the team wins I don't care which pitcher gets credit for it and neither should they. Why must this be debated every time its mentioned. He got the ND for a game it would be nice to have gotten him a win for, simple as that. I don't think it has to be debated. It's common sense that wins are a team stat, and that starting pitchers only have a fraction of the control over them. It's the most overrated stat in the game. And no has said to the contrary. Why must it be mentioned every time? I think it's like a defense mechanism, people are so sick of the misconception about wins as a stat, they attack it whenever possible. Makes sense. It is a overrated stat that means nothing. You could be a great pitcher for the Nationals or some other offensivley plagued team, and lose because your team can't put a run or two on the board. The pitcher has only like 25 percent control over it. As long as they have the sparkling ERA, thats all that matters.
