  1. Detroit defeats BrewCrew 4-0/ No hitter for Verlander. Their first no hitter since 1984....Jack Morris.
  2. Currently, Verlander is no hitting the BrewCrew through 5.1 innings. Don't jinx it, buddy. dont chunk me in there, i went the inge route haha As long as they beat the Crew, I'm happy.

  4. Brewers losing to Detroit 1-0 Bottom of the third. Oh and Neifi is getting a start for the Tigers.
  5. Control issues. Hawk Harrelson sounds like the Sox just died.
  6. Great. More day games equals more Cubs' losses! Ask the players.
  7. I doubt the Reds would have problems trading within the division considering Dunn will be a FA. My guess is they would not allow a window to work out a contract extension prior to trade within the division, however. Maybe they wouldn't. It'll be interesting to see if the Reds get aggresive. If they dealt Dunn and Griffey they'd have tons of money to spend in the off-season and would get a big batch of young talent in return. Of course, if they just trade for middle relievers, it's not going to help them at all. I found it interesting yesterday hearing Peter Gammons speak on the subject. He thinks it is more likely that Dunn is moved than Griffey. In his opinion, Reds fans come to the park to see Griffey. So he thinks the Reds would ask for more in a trade for Griffey than they would for Dunn. Steve Phillips mentioned on SC that he believes bith Dunn and Griffey could be moved and that it would probably be Dunn if only one was moved. However, he seems to not like Dunn very much mentioning that he "kills rallies". Steve Phillips not a big Dunn fan = more reason for a team to trade for him.
  8. I guess so since he is in the pen warming up.
  9. 130 pitches. Sportsline has only 123. Gameday with 128 It was 128. Len said that Zambrano was close to 130 pitches.
  10. Very true. Domino's has Pizza Hut beat by a longshot.
  11. With Jones batting behind him, that is all he'll see....slump or no slump.
  12. Probably the worst post I've read here in a while and that's saying a lot. other than "contending" what has cuban done? he makes a fool of himself publicly by running his ignorant mouth. no owner in all of professional sports is despised more by his peers than he is. he accrues more league fines than anyone else...oh yeah, his teams perennially disappoint. in fact, two of the biggest choke jobs in sports history (outside ny v. bos) have come at the hands of teams in his control in the last two years. the only thing good about mark cuban is watching that stupid look on his face as the teams he puts together gag in the clutch. if he didn't baby his players and let someone who knew a thing or two about run the team (without his constant moronic interjection), maybe they'd get their act together. cuban would bring us a world of attention, and he'd spend the money to keep us in the mix, but the guy's a jinx and we already got one of those working against us, we don't need another. We shouldn't want Cuban because he's a jinx? I like how your first post criticizes the Mavericks, even though they had the best record in the NBA this year. Laughable logic. I'm far from the foremost expert on NBA ball, but I know that he turned around a team that was the laughing stock pf the NBA at the time. He was able to regain a fanbase in Dallas, get a stadium built for what was a lowly franchise & have players want to come to the Mavericks and play. Edit to add: laughing stock = constant losing, no fan base and the Roy Tarpley saga
  13. Yeah, and the Cards will be playing a Royals team that beat up on the Phillies this weekend. I hope they continue to do damage. The Royals scored 17 today!
