  1. did anyone else think hester would make a big error by the way he was acting earlier
  2. Doesn't matter, the Bears are about to lose to the freak'n bucs. Pathetic. The Saints just lost to the Redskins Redskins are better than the Bucs... not by much

  4. Remember they still play in the NFC. Seattle has laid eggs the last two weeks. New Orleans just lost to Washington. Dallas got killed by New Orleans last week and has been up and down. Defense has been our bread and butter, and it is simpy pathetic now. Pathetic. YOu can jump off the band wagon because you sound like a fair weathr fan
  5. with a 3.40 ERA to boot and darn, Pierre is gonna steal 49 bases. wtg Hendry and get thrown out 25 times
  6. they were talking about it all day on WGN radio before it happened
  7. because there there there might be better players next year and we could possibly win in 2008 eventhough the NL central will be crap again in 2007
  8. It's also pretty lame that you're arguing that he was only motivated in 2006 because it was his free agent year, when he's had two other seasons just about as good. Okay, maybe it wasn't a motivational problem. Maybe he's just a player who's subject to the occasional 2-year slump. Either way I wouldn't give him $136M. Kinda like how Carlos Beltran had a 1 year slump in 2005 after signing his contract Why did he have trouble in texas, could it be the 100 degree heat everyday? traveling to the west coast for division games. who knows, those 2 years are annomlies to what he has done everywhere else
  9. Imagine for a moment the cubs dont sign Soriano and he goes on to have great all star caliber years with another team The same people saying we spent too much would be saying Hendry is a idiot because he didnt do what was needed to get him, (Carlos Beltran) If Hendry didnt do anything like the 2005/06 off season, people would cry about the players we couldve gotten and didnt. its a no win situation for some of you, its almost like you want the cubs to lose because it gives you something to bitch about.
  10. Anderson can'd handle that. We absolutely don't have the personell for a 3-4, our d-line is too small, and you really think Scott/Boone can be a nose tackle for a 3-4? Ya, right. while the 3-4 isint a good option, it wouldnt hurt if they tried it a little the last few games to throw kinks in playoff plans.
  11. If teams retire numbers so no one can ever use that number then its a big deal
  12. it dosent take much at 1am with a club full of drunks who think they are hard asses. Well i wouldnt know that from experience. Now i know why you are old style. it doesnt take much for you to mess around. :) There is definetly a story here. actually ive never been to a club but my cousin is a bouncer at one downtown and he always has stories. i just picked old style as my name because i couldnt think of anything and i heard a old style commerical durning a cubs game and figured what the hell

  14. One could say Michael Jordan had bad judgment who had that poker game with a convicted felon who were later killed by associates I wish it were that easy to throw a best friend to the curb, i know it would be extremely hard to do it in my case When that best friend is just hanging around to mooch off your wealth, and is causing MAJOR problems for you, what good is he? It's like staying with a lying & cheating girlfriend just because it's too hard to break up. Whos guns were they? Johnsons If Johnson dosent have a problem with him mooching off his wealth, it dosent matter what anyone else thinks. Last night aside, what has this guy done that has caused Johnson major problems. If Thursday never happened, things would be completely different I'm done with this. If you want to continue to defend Tank Johnson's stupidity and terrible judgement, so be it. We're thin on defense and need him as a player, and I hope he winds up playing for the Bears this year. But there is no defense for his unbelievably bad judgement. None. im not defending his judgement, all im saying is that 99 percent of us would do the exact same thing as he did if our employers told us to stop seeing our "best friends". its also real easy for people from white suburbs to say it because the chances their best friends have done anything more than smoke pot are small.

  17. Unless he goes to prison for a long time, there will be plenty of teams who would pick him up in a heart beat so no his football career isint probably over Maybe teams will give him a chance, but he doesn't seem to want to change his gangster ways. Honestly, I'm not sure what last night's incident showed about his "gangster ways" (unless we know more information about what happened). It just continued to show how bad his judgement is/that he doesn't think. His lawyer was just on WGN and said he was only in this club for 8 minutes, he didnt even have a drink or sit down yet. That doesn't really mean anything. It just means it happened 8 minutes after he got there instead of a couple hours/few drinks in. He still went out with this guy when the Bears had told him not to be involved with anyone like this anymore. If the employer you work for told you not to go out with your "best friend" would you listen? If that employer was paying me millions of dollars to play a sport, I have no other way of making millions of dollars, and that friend is a convicted felon who just helped get me into a world of trouble? Yes. its so easy to say that, only if it were actually that easy to do it.

  20. I didn't have much problem with the gun charges, but the whole thing that happened at the night club tells me that we need to stay far far away from this guy. Innocent until proven guilty

  23. Dramatic much? no kidding, idiotic posts like that makes one think Johnson's real name is Urlacher. he was having a decent year but in no way are we losing (if that is the case) a Reggie White type lineman
