  1. yep that dude just now was embarrassing, this fine young woman on the other hand just destroys it
  2. Yeah that's a real weird play to get hung up on. That was a shallow single, even if the throw went to 3rd Castro would still likely be dead at 2B. I don't think he really got hung up on it, though. He mentioned it and left it alone. there's like zero chance castro gets to 2nd on that play without a throwing error, in which case pulling up 8 feet from 1st wouldn't have hurt anything
  3. hate that font/hate that jersey

  5. needs more fupa http://nutritionhistory.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/NH-Taft-President.jpg
  6. correct this immediately, he's worth watching
  7. I genuinely believe Jaxon could be an extremely effective (and wildly, wildly overpaid) reliever. My basis for this belief is stuff. okay theo the two smartest posters on the fourth (?) most prominent cubs message board have spoken. make it happen. theo only reads LEPG
  8. I liked Houston the couple of times I've been there, never been to Oakland, just know its status as white trashville. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/AQV9L.gif
  9. how the [expletive] is houston not on ssr's list but oakland is? houston is a sprawling concrete hell-scape, void of any redeeming features whatsoever
  10. looks flammable
  11. i was just being silly, he does say crazy things
  12. i think he has like 5 phrases that he can say in english, all of which have to do with having fun and playing hard. And his Spanish is riddled with communist propaganda, making the translator ' job really hard. lol
  13. "serviceable"
  14. what's crazy about that? he's just saying that the team is learning how to win, while also saying that wrigley field is old and kind of smells funny
  15. i was about to say i got confused and wanted to vote "Kate Upton" too fluffy. soler is more like late-90's heidi klum or tyra banks
  16. gonna be at this game, be jealous of me! i'm so excited that i'm going to eat like three of those asian burritos mojo was talking about it feels like we've already won more games this season than we won in the last five years combined. we're bound to hit some rough patches, but this is fun
  17. Let's ask Aroldis Chapman. http://cdn.meme.am/images/188548.jpg haha
  18. i bet that mfer doesn't even appreciate miley cyrus say what
  19. Fairly certain. Yeah, my friend brought in a slice of Bacci on opening night. He is very cheap so he likes gigantic slices of pizza for not much money. Yeah, get one of those burritos from the Mexican place right underneath the El tracks. their steak milanesa sandwich was good when i had it
  20. it should be clark taking a dump in chicago and the path it takes to get to st. louis' potable water supply
  21. A lot of you probably live in the city, north side, different state or wherever so most of you can't see for yourself how they are or think " No, way it ain't that bad" and think it's all overblown. Unless you live on the south side, then you really can't grasp it. I live in the southwest suburbs and let me tell you, the hatred & caring more about the Cubs is true. I can't count the many times out at bars around the area where a Cubs game is on and Sox fans paying very close attention to it & when the opposing team scores they erupt in cheers and clap loudly. Couple times wearing my Cubs jersey or shirt minding my own business and hear snarky comments like " This is the Southide!" or some other idiotic comment, or questioned why I'm wearing that out here. This is also isn't just friendly heckling. Been told from a couple Sox fans they are born and raised growing up to "HATE the Cubs". Lots of Sox fans wearing Anti-Cubs shirts and even Sox fan license plates that read "IH8Cubs" or something of the sort. So yes, the rage & hatred they have for the Cubs and their fans is true..It's not an overblown perception whatsoever. They have their inferiority complex and basically live to bash anything Cubs related and you hear it more than talk about their own team. SO MUCH THIS
  22. i usually just respond with something to the effect of, "congrats on the world series, i'm happy for you and i hope that i get to know that joy soon. however, let's not pretend like the franchise known for intentionally losing a world series, rioting in their own stadium, wearing shorts during a professional baseball game, and the truly amazing distinction of never making the playoffs two years in a row is god's gift to chicago baseball"
  23. i don't think they need to want the latter more than the former in order for it to be a weird fetish totally out of alignment with typical passionate fandom
  24. It's almost as if they're rivals in a competitive sport or something. The graphic by itself is nothing really, it's just emblematic of the fanbase's attitude as a whole. Our STL area posters likely know what I mean, there's a weird hang up about the Cubs that goes beyond 'they're our rivals, we want them to do poorly'. white sox fans do it to, and they're not even rivals. i think our team is just easy to hate on, and doing so is a vibrant cottage industry
  25. why does he need a bulletproof baseball hat? oh wait http://static1.squarespace.com/static/53ac7993e4b061d8e9c6ad67/t/53baa07ce4b046129f355038/1404739732304/?format=1500w
