  1. The current OT rules are a hell of a lot better than that suggestion, and I kinda hate the current OT rules.
  2. It's not at minimum 85%. My wife drafted a pretty sketchy team. They told her that her team was brutal and I think gave her a 45% chance at the playoffs with great in season management.
  3. @_B_Hard_ Brandon Hardin I need to find out more about this "new IR rule" ... cuase eventually I will be healthy to play.
  4. Two 7:30 overtimes and then a "kick-off" from the 50 yard line, most FG's made wins, a la soccer and hockey. :stickman:
  5. How do you determine who gets the ball first in this 8 min overtime? Coin flip? I really don't see how that fundamentally solves one of the main issues that NFL overtime presents.
  6. jersey and I definitely disagree on the sudden death idea. (which is nothing new, it's been a long running debate) I hate it. It's a main reason why I am behind the OT elimination idea.
  7. Not to mention injury concerns.
  8. Which is nuts when you consider 25% of our schedule is against Green Bay and Detroit. Yeah, but we get to play some soft divisions. Also, looking at our schedule, 5 of our last 7 games are divisional games....that's really odd scheduling. Is the NFL purposely trying to put more divisional games later?
  9. The Football Outsiders Almanac has the Bears opponents this season at -5.7% DVOA, the easiest schedule in football by the measure.
  10. I open to overtime if there's a good way to do it. I'm just not super convinced there is a good way.
  11. Don't overthink it. Bane is strong...we want our sports teams to be strong....*shrug* Like Sulley, I liked it more when I thought it was just the Bears....didn't see the other ones till a few min later.
  12. So apparently I didn't correct my post fast enough.
  13. Chuck Klosterman on Grantland proposes 3 NFL rule changes. Interesting to think about anyway... http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8314725/chuck-klosterman-proposes-three-rule-changes-nfl I love the idea to kill regular season OT.
  14. Cubs Version: Bulls Version:

  16. He's notoriously bad at picking, so I'm not putting a ton of stock in it.
  17. I think there's a chance they go with a 4th RB because of special teams rather than a 6th WR.
  18. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/8310739/jay-cutler-offense-redefining-chicago-bears-image
  19. Sam Hurd got his bail revoked today and apparently Marion Barber was in the court, supporting him.
  20. Madden 13 simulations have the Bears winning the division, tying at 12-4 with the Packers, getting the #1 seed in the NFC. http://www.easports.com/madden-nfl/news/article/tom-brady-wins-mvp-andrew-luck-offensive-rookie-year
  21. Any interest? I like him and think he's better than Davis at least. We'd have to cut Spaeth, unless we wanted to send Rodriguez packing, which I can't see happening. He's missed like 20 games in 3 years. He's less than durable.
