  1. They re-sod the thing multiple times every year. Yeah, they already did a few weeks back.
  2. Also, Soldier Field getting re-sodded.
  3. Sounds to me like Lovie is still holding out hope that Jay can play on Monday.
  4. :good: Thank God. Podlesh has been increasingly terrible this year. He's like Maynard without the directional kicking ability. No excuses, but I wonder how much of that is a result of the injury he had in the preseason, and if there's something still lingering there.

Detroit has nothing to lose and a dirty team. The Packer players better keep their heads on a swivel. I actually like Detroit to win this game. I want detroit to win, but I really wanna see more of this too: http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/slides/photos/002/696/482/StaffordGrass_crop_650x440.jpg?1350965340
  7. That's a terrible joke, weber or not it's from you or NC.
  8. You have the benefit of an unconcussed brain to make that decision with.

  11. Even if he can play, doesn't mean he should play. Better to give him a week.
  12. Rodgers is better. Stafford is not, and if you're saying Ponder is better...lol. I hate to say this, but in terms of QB rating, Cutler is in the bottom 10. If we compare defenses and by having a Hall of Fame returner, we can clear as day see that he benefits by having shorter starting field position. I root for Jay to prove everyone wrong and to play great for us, but not much has changed in the last few years. I understand the differences in QB rating. But the QB's on the teams are asked to do very different things. Sure, from a high level they all have the same goal...score. But Jay is still working in a mostly broken, slowly rebuilding offense that doesn't protect well. I know what the numbers say, but I don't think that if you put either Stafford or Ponder on this current Bears team, they could do what Jay has been able to do. I understand that I'm putting out an argument that is probably not well loved or respected on this board, since it deals in very subjective stuff, and ignores numbers. But I just don't buy that Cutler isn't as good a QB as Christian Ponder.
  13. Rodgers is better. Stafford is not, and if you're saying Ponder is better...lol. They've all certainly been better this season. lol right back at ya. So you would rather have Christian Ponder on this team, as constructed, in place of Cutler? Of course not, but there's certainly more than 4 or 5. I was taking issue more with the comparison within the division. Ponder is bad. And I'm not convinced Stafford is all that good either, despite a very good year last year.

  16. There's almost 4 or 5 in his division who have been better. or 1 Beat me to it.
  17. Also Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow are both FA's. Did the Patriots drop him? I felt like they picked him up... I'm more interested in Shockey, honestly. He played decently last year for Carolina.

  19. Is he a franchise QB? Yes Is he capable of winning a Super Bowl? I have my serious doubts. He's a guy I have a hard time seeing produce 3 good games in a row vs. other good teams. He still throws off his back foot a TON. It's funny, because I'd reverse my answer to those two questions. You don't think he's a franchise QB, but he is capable of winning a Super Bowl? I have my doubts as to whether he is a franchise QB (whatever that term means, basically I'm saying I have my doubts that he'll ever actually be really, really good) because of some issues. You definitely don't need to be really, really good (or a "franchise QB") to win a Super Bowl. Not to many bad QB's have won the Super Bowl recently though. I guess it depends on how good you think Big Ben is. I think Cutler get a bad rap because of his O-line, but I understand the doubts.

  21. Loving the name Urban Shocker.
  22. So? So any GM worth their salt trades for Drew Brees when their starter goes down.
  23. It was a combination of Cutler being knocked out and passes being dropped. We also didn't get Forte going, but if we hit a few of those dropped passes thing might've opened up.
