    Shea dropped a sure interception in 11 on 11. Ball hit him in both hands.

    Who knows on the severity (and obviously one is football and the other is pitching in baseball) but I know Greinke had surgery and he was only out like a month. You'd think throwing balls really hard takes a pretty hard toll on that area, too. Rodgers went with no surgery, IIRC, and took, what, 2 months? Yep...my understanding has been that surgery actually decreases recovery time on this type of injury, but I'm far from a doctor.

    Marquis Wilson had surgery to repair his clavicle. No timetable.

    Bennett suspended indefinitely and fined an undisclosed amount. He's not even in Bourbonnais.

    I agree, and why wasn't Hack Wilson on the list. Or for that matter Frank Chance? Or anyone else who actually won a WS in a Cub uniform. Because nobody alive today was around to see them play, and they played in a completely different era of baseball. Honestly, those are much more excusable omissions to me.

    Really? I don't think anyone would care all that much if Castro went on the DL. Yeah. I mean, I'd rather he be ok...but it's not the end of the world.
