    Heyward was clearly gonna leave ATL after this year. Cards get 1 year of control for Heyward, 2 years for Walden. Braves get 4 years of control for Miller, and 6 for Jenkins. So the Braves get players under control for a guy that was gonna bail.

    Yeah but from the twitter notes I read it seemed to be in jest to some degree. He said something about Marshall needing callouses to box and Marshall showed him his knuckles. Yeah...It was all silly, but harmless.

    Bernstein has been on the Marshall hate train ever since his silly, unnecessary, defensive press conference.

    boooooooooooooooooooooo I hate it too, but I'm willing to pay that price for the Sunday night opener.

    Yeah, this isn't a case of the media jumping at the first opportunity to criticize Marshall. If anything he's made it impossible for them to keep pretending everything was just fine. There's been a definite uptick in the "crazy", without a doubt. But I do feel like there's a certain amount of the local media that has been waiting for just that. I'm not saying it's unjustified, unfortunately.
