  1. Miller was on B&B yesterday and bought in to their belief that the Bears are going to somehow get rid of Marshall before the season starts.
  2. I was getting the ad on my phone for a few hours last Saturday but it stopped the next day. Yeah, it quit popping up at some point yesterday.
  3. Conflicting reports on twitter, but most say he'll leave. Official announcement not till 4:00.
  4. @hub_arkush From "great" source Fox is front-runner for Bears job but it is not a done deal yet. Pace still trying to be sure.
  5. The Ryan Pace announcement was around 3pm. I'm guessing we'll hear an announcement from the Bears around then. Per Bernsie, tomorrow or Tuesday for a press conference most likely due to playoff games, Cubs convention, and the holiday on Monday.
  6. Surely Deion is already signed up.
  7. This is a cool idea.
  8. wild card going to the superbowl is like the definition of playoff randomness (really, it's hard to say that ANY team going to the superbowl isn't - but i digress) the other team was amazing because it had peyton manning on it honestly, i don't care all that much about playoff resumes unless they have some insanely consistent success in them (and still i'd think that would have more to do with consistently making them than anything else - which is what i do care about, the regular season) i mean he made two superbowls in 13 years, which, is cool, whatever...i'm not sure it says a lot about him as a coach. definitely not more than his (very solid) regular season resume says. i'm not making an effort to write off anything because i don't like him or love him. i'm writing off playoff accomplishments (especially goofy ones like "in two separate conferences") because i don't think they mean that much in most cases. What on earth would impress you about a coach if you're writing off everything he's done successfully? Two Super Bowls? Luck. 4 straight division titles? Amazing QB. Playoff success twice in three years with a bleh QB? He wasn't THAT bleh. Whatever.
  9. I do miss MVP-quality Butler. Seems like he's not been right since his bereavement leave.
  10. Now you're gonna talk up Jake Delhomme? The point is that Fox had success with a sub-elite QB. And he's now going to coach a team with QB concerns.
  11. Only NOW you realize this? I thought he hurt the Bulls a lot more last night than he typically does.
  12. That takes a lot of effort to write all of that off. Not really. Especially not the two different conferences part. That is a completely meaningless anecdote. Carolina's Super Bowl run was an 11-5 wild card team, which meant they won three playoff games to get to the Super Bowl. After a down year, they went 11-5 again, making it to the NFC Championship game. Both of those runs were with Jake Delhomme as QB. Which, while if I wanted to I could poo-poo that as crapshooty playoff (the regular seasons were great, but that's not what we're talking about) randomness, is great, but has nothing to do with the "two different conferences" silliness that I was responding to. Fine, whatever. You made other points about Manning and playoffs randomness...which maybe would work for one flukey run, but for two...not as much. Like I said, you're making a lot of effort to write off his accomplishments because you're not blown away by him...which is fine, I'm not saying you have to love him...but he's got an extremely solid resume.
  13. He's taken two teams from two different conferences to the Super Bowl. Why is this even a thing? It's just a goofy anomaly that he happened to do it in two conferences, not an actual special accomplishment (beyond taking 2 teams to the SB - which is debatable as to how much of it is an accomplishment and how much is blind playoff luck - or riding Peyton's coattails). 16. Fangio would be another DC possibility.
  17. Theo will be on the Score at 10:40. EDIT: Oops, this is tomorrow at 10:40, not today.
  18. Jason Cole is gonna be on The Score at 10:00.
  19. @JasonPhilCole #NFL exec source says John Fox is getting the #Bears job.
  20. For now, my workaround is to force stop the page from fully loading. Seems to stop the redirect if I stop it at the right time.

  24. Yep, looks like it can be a virus/adware that redirects to it, but I've also read that it can be a malicious google ad. I suspect that's the case here.
