I don't see him getting suspended either. He practically owns that station. I could see an out of character apology though. It will be interesting to see if transition happens though. May not be a good idea to have Spiegel and Bernstein on the air together today.

No, he specifically said he's fine with his original tweet. That they often criticize broadcasters and other media, and that he felt like that assessment was valid.

I think this makes it's pretty clear he's just talking out about McDonald to get the audience fired up and attack the Bears. He's got a pretty clear history of arguing these kinds of social issues in sports though, and doing a very good job at it. But I think a bit of wine and twitter got him in some deep water last night.

What is he apologizing for? Criticizing her work, or acknowledging Bernstein's comments? He feels like he could have kept the conversation above board after Bernstein's reply...and didn't.

Spiegel apologizing on the air now, didn't mention Bernstein by name. I buy his apology...like him or not, I think Spiegel is a pretty decent guy for a sports talk host.

I can grow a solid goatee, but I grow terrible beards. There's a bald spot on my left cheek that doesn't help any. I'm definitely jealous of people that can grow good beards.
