  2. Fowler Rizzo Soler Bryant Castro Lake Castillo Wood Russell
  3. So apparently tomorrow's game at Camden tomorrow at 1:05cst and will NOT be open to the public. And the Orioles series with the Rays this weekend will now be played at Tropicana.
  4. This guy named GTZasker or something like that was a semi regular poster at Cubs.com for a couple months. Then one day there's a post by someone claiming to be his brother who posted to tell everyone that the real guy had died in a boating accident over the weekend. There actually had been a boating accident resulting in a fatality the previous weekend. A bunch of people cried bs and started poking holes in the "brother's" story. I have to admit, I told people to shut up because why would anyone fake their own death on a message board? About 3 weeks later, the guy returns from the dead saying he did the whole thing as a psych experiment for a class he was taking at ... maybe Northwestern or DePaul. This resulted in a long debate over whether that was the real reason he did it. A lot of people were genuinely upset over all of this. It all seems really silly now. Some similar [expletive] happened over on /r/hockey on reddit. Some reasonably well known poster faked his own death with his "mother" announcing his suicide on his account. The subreddit raised a bunch of money for charity as a result, before finding out it was a hoax.
  5. Michael J Fox was 30 when he was diagnosed, and 38 when he announced it to the public.
  6. @ChrisBHaynes #Cavs GM David Griffin says surgery is an option for Kevin Love, and he calls it a surprise if he could return for postseason.
  7. My son's elementary school decided to have the spring performance night be 6:30 on Thursday night. Annoying.
  8. He caught a bit of twitter flack.

  10. This batting order is so much fun. Just imagine when the weather heats up.
  11. My 8yo does not get tired of telling me that Fowler fouls a lot.
  12. Channel 737. 665-1 wasn't listed in the guide, but it's on Looks like both work. The season recording picked 737.
  13. @CarrieMuskat Welington Castillo joining Bryant, Russell in early infield drills. Welly is at 3B. #Cubs
  14. I didn't mind it before the most recent update which totally changed the UI I reinstalled the old version from one backed up on my computer. Haven't thought about updating since. Good call. Maybe I can find an old apk.

  16. I still use it, but I've really hated Tapatalk for quite a while now. Really slow and the navigation is not user friendly at all.
  17. There's plenty of cheap/free vpn services out there that you can use to get around blackouts, from what I hear.
  18. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn't make it the best way. Obviously, but just because something is a change doesn't make it the best way either. One of the moves mentioned in the post I was referring to there was the lowering of the mound, which made sense because there were like two .300 hitters the year prior and offense was at crisis point. Not being sufficiently entertained by the 2 PA/game that pitchers take is hardly 'crisis point' to me. Waiting for crisis points to take action is a terrible way to manage anything.
  19. Minnesota reporter says that someone at the league office told him this series could start on Wednesday.
  20. All sports should progress. Basketball, hockey and football have all added rules, changed rules, adapted rules. Some for the better, some arguably for the worse, but they've all progressed. Baseball is the slowest, and most reluctant to do so, but it too has progressed, and needs to continue to do so. The fact that it's a game doesn't mean that it shouldn't make positive change. Just because something has always been done a certain way doesn't make it the best way.
  21. Seconds prior to that.... http://i.imgur.com/vChRyWW.jpg
