  1. lol why wouldnt that surprise me the cards give him a league minimum salary tell him to work on a thing or 2 for 2 weeks in AAA he comes up and becomes the Ejax of old... that wouldnt surprise me one bit The ellipsis here is so weird. If you're going to go with the no punctuation thing, commit to it.
  2. That was just awful to watch.
  3. How bad do you think people are thinking? I get the feeling people see 7-9 or 8-8. Do you think better than that? I think they will be a little better, mostly on defense, but too many hurdles to be in the real hunt of the 9/10 win playoff teams. well, usually reserved and rational walterfootball had them at 4-12, and the preview piece reads like smear piece on cutler. i cannot believe so many people continue to lose their minds on him. "they can't win with him." oh yeah? so who are they going to win with, that Claussen guy? basically every publication has them last in the north. i think with Long moving to RT, they have a chance to have an above average line. that could push the offense to top 10. lol, I know you're joking, but man is that site awful. They have absolutely hated Cutler for years, and seems like they always are looking for some way for the Bears to replace him.
  4. My mom still lives in Boise and had talked about that. Definitely sounds fun, though they should play it on the blue turf.
  5. Just went and looked at the individual games, and clearly I'm making things up in my head.
  6. I want to invite you to my poker game... I love to dream that they'll beat Green Bay but over the course of my lifetime I've conditioned myself to expect to be humiliated by them no matter what. I would definitely give you wacky odds on the game if you were a betting person Yeah, pretty much, Rodgers owns them. Fangio hasn't lost to him (obviously much better talent). Let's pretend it'll be like when we brought Lovie in and suddenly figured out Favre. I haven't looked it up, but it seems like when we've had success against the Packers, it's been early in the season.
  7. Also, there's a lot of fans rooting for the guy to get back to what he once was. So that makes his failures attention worthy.
  8. No but they signed a contract with CBS and its pretty much 90% gonna happen. Yeah, I get that. Just clarifying...since the topic made it sound official.
  9. WTF is wrong with him now? huh? the same injury that has him on the DL and that prompted this callup yeah, I mean I don't remember what it was. Jammed thumb...which makes 6 weeks sound really long, but maybe because he's a catcher?

  11. So in the past few weeks, ESPN has lost/gotten rid of Bill Simmons, Keith Olbermann and now Colin Cowherd.
  12. Pretty sure Cubs to WSCR hasn't been made official yet, has it?

  14. Bad Tiger makes me sad.
  15. Not about the Cubs or a TV Deal, so this thread seems perfect! But this is finally official....
  16. As one Tribune writer wrote today - "longest week in sports". So bad that the Tribune started their 14 day countdown to Bears training camp. I don't think the Bears thing has anything to do with the all star break. The Bears are still the most popular sports team in town. I'm not sure they'd be doing a two week countdown to training camp if there weren't literally nothing else to cover, though. And this is probably the least excited the city has been about the Bears going into a season in a really long time. The least excited the city has been about the Bears doesn't mean they still don't crave all the coverage they can get. The Bears are still ridiculously popular. I mean, anyone in Chicago that's a White Sox fan right now is looking for anything to read about besides baseball anyway.
  17. Bryce Harper put this on instagram... http://i.imgur.com/EwGSxKy.jpg

  19. The AHL Milwaukee Admirals got new uni's and an update logo, and it looks awesome, imo.... http://news.sportslogos.net/2015/07/15/fear-this-admirals-evolve-unveil-new-logos-and-uniforms/
  20. Damn...I'm mad I missed that game.
  21. I heard Manfred say on Mike and Mike this morning that the game would be played tomorrow night in the event of a rainout. It's part of the reason why they added another off day on Thursday for all teams a few years ago, so they had a contingency in the event of a rainout. The logistics of that have to be crazy.
