Not really a win-win to me. Yeah, guaranteed that one of PIrates-Cards lose, but on also guaranteed to win. Cardinals wins are probably what we want Well right, but....I'd rather both lose...that's all I'm saying.

Why do people believe that obscure rulings make baseball great? Has Tim Kurkjian convinced everybody of stuff like this or did you come to that feeling on your own? Back before cell phones, I had a bathroom reader with weird baseball scenarios where you were supposed to figure out the right ruling. It occupied that time well. That was the only use I had for obscure rulings.

Heh, awesome find. In other news, apparently I've been blocked on twitter by David Haugh for quite a while and didn't realize it. Probably happened at the same time Kaplan blocked me ages ago, but I can't be sure. I've been blocked by Haugh as well. Literally retweeted 1 of his tweets with a snarky response (no cursing, vulgarity, etc...) and got banned. What a dbag. I got blocked by Kaplan for poking fun at some of the first Kap & Haugh commercials on CSN where they were having lame fake arguments...I'm assume that's what Haugh also blocked me for.

Wait... is it me or did the first ump say the hitter is out first cuz the 1B caught the liner and then somehow ended up calling him safe at the end? It looks he gave the hand gesture that the hitter was out to me. Yep...it was a clown show, umps and players. The only thought I had is that maybe the ump was giving some kind of weird "fair" signal instead of calling an out, but I dunno.

Does it make me a terrible person to point out how weird it is (doesn't mean it's not true - just means it sounds a little unusual) that, as a guest at a strange house, she would walk into some room by herself? Again, not saying it's not true. Hell, maybe he told her she could go pass out on some bed and then he followed her in. Who knows? Just sounded weird when I was first picturing what was written. Who says it was a bedroom? Just to throw out random possibilities, a rec room with jersey's and other memorabilia that would have drawn her in...and maybe had a couch or something where the attack took place? We don't have enough information to say it was weird or not. This is all beside the point. If someone tells you to stop doing something to them, you have to stop. IF PK didn't stop, it doesn't matter where it happened, it doesn't matter how on board with everything this girl was or at what point in the interaction she decided to tell him to stop. Right...that's not really what the discussion was about. If he raped her, it doesn't matter where she was. It was simply addressing whether the scenario sounded plausible/believable, in regards to her overall story.

Patriots release Matt Flynn. He's battling a hamstring injury, and it's possible that he'll just re-sign with the Pats when that's healed up, but maybe he'd be worth the Bears exploring as a backup?
