  1. Waitwhatnow? I missed this element of the story apparently.
  2. Does it make me a terrible person to point out how weird it is (doesn't mean it's not true - just means it sounds a little unusual) that, as a guest at a strange house, she would walk into some room by herself? Again, not saying it's not true. Hell, maybe he told her she could go pass out on some bed and then he followed her in. Who knows? Just sounded weird when I was first picturing what was written. Who says it was a bedroom? Just to throw out random possibilities, a rec room with jersey's and other memorabilia that would have drawn her in...and maybe had a couch or something where the attack took place? We don't have enough information to say it was weird or not. This is all beside the point. If someone tells you to stop doing something to them, you have to stop. IF PK didn't stop, it doesn't matter where it happened, it doesn't matter how on board with everything this girl was or at what point in the interaction she decided to tell him to stop. Right...that's not really what the discussion was about. If he raped her, it doesn't matter where she was. It was simply addressing whether the scenario sounded plausible/believable, in regards to her overall story.
  3. Who's the third guy? Barstool Big Cat?
  4. Patriots release Matt Flynn. He's battling a hamstring injury, and it's possible that he'll just re-sign with the Pats when that's healed up, but maybe he'd be worth the Bears exploring as a backup?

  6. I just realized today is a day off and it feels bad.

  8. What's a little crazy to me is that we haven't gotten the "I look forward to proving my innocence" statement from Kane/his lawyer. EDIT: Although, now that I think about it, I suppose they're probably waiting for an actual charge before proclaiming innocence,

    Castro

the fact that this speculative piece bothers me aside, i'm a little surprised team doctors have never evaluated him for it. I saw it a few days late and I figured that I'd missed the discussion here somewhere.
  11. wtf....why are people acting like this is a possibility?
  12. But....nobody was considering a Coghlan/Castro infield. Like...nobody.
  13. What on earth.
  14. Didn't even say it was investigating Kane himself....just that the incident took place at his residence.
  15. Whomp whomp. Suggested to the media they were wasting their time if they stuck around for a few days.
  16. Thought I'd read in a tweet that Derrick declined an invite.

  19. More Marshall talking about Cutler, if that revs your motor at all. http://www.newsday.com/sports/football/jets/brandon-marshall-says-he-and-jay-cutler-didn-t-have-the-best-relationship-1.10714834
  20. Well yeah, but they couldn't hit him...so that makes a difference. But you're right, he still tends to throw picks in TC.

  22. A rape kit is pretty incriminating Yeah, seems like some kind of settlement with the victim is probably the way he tries to skate on this...no pun intended.
  23. Well the two guys convicted still haven't been sentenced, to my knowledge, so not that long ago.
  24. Yeah, that's not what rape is about. Oh, it's smart? Don't be dense. What's wrong about saying if he raped someone it's stupid? Throwing your life away is stupid. Especially for a guy that has a hell of a lot to lose and pretty much hit the jackpot in life. Hopefully this is a money grab. The alternative being that one of our favorite athletes is a terrible person. Nobody said he wasn't stupid. That's not the criticism of your post. The point is that it doesn't matter whether he had tons of women throwing themselves at him. Rape is not about sex. It's about power.
  25. Yeah, that's not what rape is about. Oh, it's smart? Don't be dense.
