  1. Did they get rid of the Hawk call on that?

  3. I require proof. I've seen no such thing.
  4. you inspired me to take a look over there. http://interact.stltoday.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1169606&sid=4cc877b7d6b8ac6e1539d0b1b7239205#p15920424 lol it's 2016 and people still don't understand that strikeouts aren't necessarily a symptom of impatience Ha, just found out that they have those forums blocked at work. Not that I'll be crying about that.
  5. Uh oh... http://m.mlb.com/news/article/170811758/blue-jays-josh-donaldson-exits-with-injury?partnerId=as_mlb_20160406_60221976&adbid=717796900041166848&adbpl=tw&adbpr=18479513
  6. They reposted it, with the Sox in place of the Bears, and not saying "4 major"....just saying "which of these Chicago teams"....
  7. Robinson Cano just hit his 3rd homer of the season already.
  8. You may already realize this, but the player has a separate volume control if you hover your mouse over it. you must have misinterpreted my tone. I like it Well then I'll misinterpret your tone more often.
  9. I have this on in a background tab, and the sound of the water on the street is putting me to sleep (despite the Van Halen in the background). You may already realize this, but the player has a separate volume control if you hover your mouse over it.
  10. The speculation on reddit was that it started the first time that Zobrist got on base after getting picked off the other night. But yeah, it seems like it might be developing into the new helmet rub.
  11. Since I'm stealing stuff from reddit today...if you're interested in watching the marquee go back up, live cam here... http://www.earthcam.com/usa/illinois/chicago/wrigleyfield/?cam=wrigleyfield_hd

  13. Uh no. Let the Cards get completely totally buried...then I'll worry about the Pirates. I feel the opposite because I think the Pirates are going to be the better team. Let them play catch-up because the Cardinals won't be able to. Maybe so, but I can root for the Pirates to lose every other game. I want the Cardinals to go 0-162.
  14. You'll note what team will be largely responsible if they don't make it to 73. San Antonio? Oh, you meant Minnesota.
  15. You would. You've already got 20 years of experience in saying things like "I don't care if they finished with a better record, the (86 Celtics) played in a tougher era and were a better team" You'll note what team will be largely responsible if they don't make it to 73. San Antonio?
  16. Uh no. Let the Cards get completely totally buried...then I'll worry about the Pirates.
  17. I'm pretty shamelessly rooting for them to get to 73. I assumed as much.
  18. I'm pretty shamelessly rooting against GS getting to 72.
  19. I bet you could accurately predict 6 of the 8 division winners today. I would also bet that if you made a list of 6 teams that could win the super bowl the winner would be on your list. I suggest this is true of most capped leagues. Which illustrates the point that the cap isn't leveling the playing field very much. The NFL is different since teams can get immediate help from the draft. So there's more hope for a team like Miami to make the playoffs but they're still unlikely to win the super bowl. I don't think you could predict 6/8 division winners today. I don't think what you're saying is correct either. I think baseball (non-cap sport you're comparing NFL, NBA, and NHL against) playoffs are just a crapshoot. Also can you imagine if the NBA didn't have a cap? LeBron would form an allstar team with all his buddies and win the league every year. Or maybe getting rid of Max salaries would limit him somewhat. The NFL is pretty predictable.... https://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2015/07/31/how-accurate-are-nfl-preseason-forecasts/dMGQZkmZf6YbiJYeBwGGbI/story.html Not sure you can make those predictions TODAY, but after the draft...in the preseason...yeah, you probably could.
  20. Sportswriter just doesn't understand why the whole "NL needs the DH" conversation keeps coming from. He doesn't know anyone that wants it! http://sportsworld.nbcsports.com/2016-national-league-mlb-preview/
  21. Daaaawwwwwwwwwwwwww. Thanks for quoting this...I'd missed it. Adorable.
