    It sure does suck the energy out of a ballgame to play in a ballpark that's almost empty.

    Posting in a 5 year old thread about a 4 year old video, but I stumbled across this "missing chapter" of The Last Dance that was done in Australia about Luc Longley, and I really enjoyed it. MJ, Pippen, Phil and Steve Kerr all were interviewed for it.

    First off, you're in love with this "coddling" word. It's not coddling, it's management. The guy isn't helping the team right now, and we need to win games. Seiya got benched for a few games...last year? Year before?? I forget now...but he came back and started hitting. It's not coddling to let someone get their head right. Baseball is as mental as it is physical. What works for one player doesn't necessarily work for everyone.

    Fans buy tickets, they don't pay salaries. You have no control over the team, or what they do with it. Neither do I. None of us do, or ever will. If you ever get pulled over, tell a cop that you pay his salary and see how well that works. All of this "coddling" talk isn't grownup talk...it's junior high silliness. Booing does nobody any good. Nobody has ever started playing better because they were booed.

    lol I say look at the bigger picture and you want to boo him for a single play. Cool. When he signs with another team for big money next year and gets back to playing like we know he can, you and the folks that were booing can feel real good about yourselves.
