I'm kinda hoping for laughs that the top 3 finalists for the CY are Arrieta, Lester and Hendricks. Gonna be Scherzer in there, though. I don't think it's gonna happen, but I'm really hoping Maddon wins MOY, just because of all the playoff criticism he's taken. Should drive people insane.

While this makes a lot of sense from an offensive perspective, the Def would be average at best correct? Obviously late inning replacements with def subs would be used a lot but in bigger parks that OF worries me a little bit. (but we could base enough to offset it, I guess) Well what are your choices? They're gonna play Schwarber. And while Baez may not play every single day at 2B, you've gotta think he'll be there most of the time. RF is really the only other spot for Zobrist at that point. Obviously Joe will do all the moving around that Joe does...but I think that arrangement is about as fait de complete as it can be. And that doesn't even account for Soler.

I don't know why they'd need Reddick. As it is, you need outfield spots for Zobrist and Schwarber. Schwarber LF, Heyward CF, Zobrist RF makes the most sense to me.

Possible. But if he was being an ass, I doubt we'd have handled his exit in the way we did. I'm not saying he was being an ass, but he could still be upset, and be professional about it publicly. Maybe a handshake agreement with Theo to decline the option? Obviously I'm very much speculating here...

I wonder if maybe Hammel wanted out? He and Joe were butting heads toward the end of the season, and he could be bitter about not being on the playoff roster.

Watching SNL makes you... stressed? I just... I mean... what? Hey, I said it was odd. I have this weird anxiety about watching bad live comedy, like I feel so bad/embarrassed for people just completely bombing at their job/passion on stage. I completely feel you on this. I'm that way about other awkward comedies. I had a hard time watching The Office, honestly.

While I am loving all of this celebration, man, this is the most SNL-y thing possible, isn't it? "Well, why bother to make some actual jokes or anything?" Oh it's cheesy as horsefeathers, and SNL was kinda terrible last night, but who cares?

To be clear, even if you plan on wearing that championship shirt once a week until it unravels, that's cool with me. I was just curious how common my approach was given the shutupandtakemymoney.gif reaction I'd seen thus far. how long does a shirt take to unravel? trying to figure out how many i need to last me for the rest of my life I definitely had Bulls championships shirts that I wore until they were thin and hole-y.

There will be adjustments, probably injuries, opening week energy will die down. But they seem to be pretty good and Fred is using them well so I think it's more legit than not legit.
