Glad though. Also glad we could take advantage of the last year of the rule in a backwards way. The thing is...HFA in the WS never really mattered...at least as far as competition... But this just makes so much more common sense this way.

Yeah but they still use Holmes to sub in on various shows, and his own show is in the evenings...when the audience is far less. Drive time is the prime slot. I'm gonna guess Goff to pair with Bernstein and Rosner to pair with Spiegel.

Yikes. Yeah that sounds bad. I wonder if they'll stay in house to replace him. Holmes seems like the perfect fit, imo...but management seems to like him as a "super sub". Or they could maybe move Goff?

I have heard of Shake Shack, but I don't know a thing about it. I keep picturing it as equivalent to Steak & Shake, in which case I don't know why this would be news. Steak n Shake, with cleaner, cooler-looking restaurants and better service, with worse food, on a coast. Steak n Shake food isn't all that great, IMO...so this doesn't fill me with excitement. -

I don't know, I'd think it'd be just as annoying to watch Cubs prospects we have salivated over for the past few years becoming stars down at the G-Spot. I realize this would probably be the worst time in the last however many years to trade their best player to the Cubs but at the end of the day making your team a winner is the most important thing. If the Sox think they can get better players from the Cubs than any other team, they need to make that deal. The bigger problem isn't that they are unwilling to deal Sale across town, but that they are telling the world that they won't. That's just dumb. With as many trade suitors out there, the likelihood that he gets traded to the Cubs is low. A good GM says he will entertain all offers and make the deal that best fits the White Sox needs going forward. Not if the whole thing is a PR move. I mean, like TT said, the Cubs aren't gonna pay what the White Sox want. Maybe the Cubs have already told them as much. So by telling the media "we aren't gonna trade to the Cubs", all the Sox meatballs eat that up.

It was insensitive and absolutely unnecessary at best. Unnecessary? He's free to voice his feeling on the results of the election just as much as anyone else - be it on Twitter or anywhere else. Of course he is. And we're free to call him a dick for doing it.

And also, I don't think it was the Trump support specifically that was the problem here. It was the dickishness and timing of that dickishness.

Yeah that's the first I've heard of a lockout. Just because they don't get a deal done doesn't mean there'd be a lockout or anything if both sides are still amicable and making progress, which from all reports they have been.

First thing this morning seems like an awesome time to call that out. I mean, that's when people are freaking out the most. My Facebook and Twitter feeds are beyond ridiculous. I'm sure his are too. Ruth Bader Ginsberg was talking about moving to New Zealand for God's sake. It's funny. People that are clearly traumatized and in pain are hilarious! And taunting them for it is good fun.
