  1. Ugh...we're only in the 4th inning and this game is dragging...dunno if I'll make it through the whole thing :P
  2. Barrett's lost that hot streak...he had a couple good pitches to hit.

  4. He doesn't get it across the plate nearly enough. He's already been touched for 3 bombs in 11 innings. I am still not sure how this team in 8-5. A healthy Wood and Prior are needed ASAP. 11 major league innings...that's all...and you're really judging him on that? How else should I judge him, his thoroughly impressive 10 innings of spring training? Or his multiude of minor league starts. I like Marshall and I think he can be good but I think he needs more seasoning. But yes, I am judging him on his ML body of work and its unimpressive. I can agree he needs seasoning, but he's the best option they have, and he's clearly only a stopgap till we get our staff healthy. He hasn't lost us a game yet. As long as he goes out there and keeps us in the game, I don't know that there's a lot of room to complain about his performance.
  5. Who should be that would be doing better after 11 innings of work?

  7. Boy Marshall has a mean hook. He's still really raw...but he shows flashes of being a pretty good pitcher.
  8. one went out....wow...thought that was impossible at night :P
  9. Anyone else see a resemblance, or am I nuts? :P http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v421/Banedon/theo.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v421/Banedon/marshall.jpg
  10. at night, the air sinks (flows downhill) in Chavez Revine. Its hard to hit a hr in the eveing there. during the day, as the heat rises from the LA basin, WHOLE nother story. think of it like Wrigley West Yeah, the patterns are kind of interesting. Just because this is a night game, it won't get dark until 8pm or so. And even then, the marine layer doesn't always settle in at dusk. Sometimes, it creeps in while it's still light out. But on a clear, sunny day, all bets are off on how many runs can score. It's interesting stuff, really. Dodger Stadium is my 2nd favorite stadium. I like the design, not a bad seat in the house, and the way it plays, day vs night. Cubbie games there are a treat I've never been there in person, but on TV it doesn't really impress...
  11. Marshall seems skittish out there...lets get out of this inning and see if he can get his head straightened out.
  12. I doubt you said anything anyone would be interested in anyway...... :D *yawn* did you say something? :P
  13. They seem to have a better feel for Penny than Lowe.
  14. Well that would've been nice to get last night....lol
  15. Len really taking the Penny Marshall thing to extremes. Talking about Penny Marshalls movies, and they actually had Squiggy from Laverne and Shirley in the booth before the game...LOL
  16. Ron is of course entertaining, but without Pat to reign him in on occasion, he'd be a horrible mess of a broadcaster (if he isn't already). Pat Hughes is fantastic.
  17. And of course, we don't get to play KC even though we're playing the AL central this year...no....we get to play the white sox 6 times... Isn't one 3 game series a year against them enough?
