  1. More needs to come out about this. Either make it happen or make it go away. I don't handle waiting very well.... :P
  2. Ok, so lets say Briggs plays this season for the Bears. Angelo apparently told Briggs in their meeting yesterday that if Briggs would play this season, he would promise not to franchise him next season. So we still will need a LB in the draft. It's a need no matter how you look at it.
  3. For what it's worth, Redskins fans are pretty much unanimous in not liking this trade possibility. http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?t=194122
  4. Indeed. There may be several factors happening behind the scenes that we aren't aware of that signficantly alter the dynamic. Also -- I haven't heard an Angelo response to this yet. He might be scoffing at the whole thing  Rosenhaus is saying that both sides are amenable to the deal...I think the only thing holding off the formal offer is Joe Gibbs approval.
  5. If the Bears believed that Briggs was actually going to hold out, then they aren't creating a need. They may have already viewed LB as a need.
  6. No one needs to listen to more Jim Rome....:P
  7. Trading up...I can't recall Angelo ever doing that.
  8. WOW! That would really mess up some mock drafts. They wouldn't draft a QB would they? Brady Quinn? Or if they decide they're done with Mike Brown, maybe Laron Landry??
  9. Step 1: Hack NSBB Step 2: ????? Step 3: Profit.
  10. Bold added for emphasis. Training camp can be a beeyotch.
  11. You sure that's on Fox? Aren't home-AFC games on CBS typically? The away team determines the network. Bears @ AFC equals Fox, AFC @ Bears = CBS. Ahh...I had it backwards then.
  12. You sure that's on Fox? Aren't home-AFC games on CBS typically?
  13. Dan Shanoff's blog has a funny entry today. Peyton Manning hosted SNL this past weekend, and apparently there was a bit during his monologue during the dress rehearsal that was dropped in the live broadcast:
  14. This is unpossible. Lance Briggs informs me that the Bears are only into disrespecting players.
  15. The contract makes it seem like they expect him to be a regular contributor to special teams, at least. I read somewhere else that he resigned with the Steelers? I dunno, nothing on Bears.com about him. Does anyone know for sure? It's not in the article that was linked, so I dunno where that came from...
  16. That's what she said. http://members.iinet.net.au/~carlm/misc/jrnl_scrubs.jpg NSBB five!
  17. Really, any night is fine with me so long as there is a few days notice. I dont forsee any problems.
  18. I'll take him in Oakland. Hasn't he suffered enough? I'd still like to see a way that the Bears could grab him and have Carr and Grossman compete for the starting job next season. I don't think he's on the Bears radar though.
  19. Slightly edited due to language, but oh the hilarity.
  20. That's a pretty funny draft...good stuff.
  21. How about we make this the "Media Predictions" thread? SI.com has the Cubs 2nd in the division behind the Cards. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/specials/spring_training/2007/previews/index.html 1 Cardinals 2 Cubs 3 Brewers 4 Astros 5 Pirates 6 Reds (27) They have the Angels over the Dodgers in the WS.
  22. 0 - Neifi Perez (Credit to Sweetpeteman) 1-25 Freddie Bynum 25-250 - Angel Pagan 250-1000 - Cesar Izturis 1000-5000 Aramis Ramirez 5000-10000 Derrek Lee 10000-20000 Carlos Zambrano 20000-50000 Ron Santo 50000-100000 Ernie Banks We could even switch a few of those around as players come and go...
  23. I'm not sure how anyone can make predictions about records for next season when the draft hasn't even taken place yet. That's kinda putting the cart before the horse. You know someone in this thread said that Archuleta isn't a coverage safety, he's a guy that can come up and hit somebody hard...isn't that what I heard about Todd Johnson too? I don't know Archuleta that well, so it could be a bad comparison, but that was my first thought.
  24. Lots of people think Schaub could start for most teams. Hell, a lot of people think Schaub should start for his current team. And he sure has an impressive career resume of 6TD's and a 69 rating to back it up. This guy has been living off a few lights out preseason performances. All hype. I hate to pull out the two word argument, but: Sample. Size. That cuts both ways though. Nobody can know if he's good or bad...and they sure can't know that he's better than Carr.
