    Hopefully one of the things they learn is that Duhon shouldn't be the 6th man. Or maybe when they have an easy path to the conference finals in the bag, don't play like crud in the final game so you have to go through the #1 seed instead. I'm not sure the Bulls make it past the first round against the Nets.

    Oh man...I so called this. I said this week to my buddy that he was gonna have to have surgery, and he said something like "You Cubs fans really think the worst is coming all the time huh?" I said "We've got some experience with pitching injuries. I know how this goes."

I didn't realize we were picking apart peoples heat of the moment reactions now..... :roll: A. DeRosa does what he is told B. You incorrectly attack DeRosa. C. Truffle is to blame. Got it. Isn't this the answer to every problem? no, that would be "blame it on CT" But CT isn't around enough anymore for that to be fun. Maybe we should just make fun of Boilermakers? Blame it on CT!!

    I disagree. Bill James looked for evidence that catchers have measurable impact on pitchers' ERA, and he looked for many years. He found none. However, absence of evidence is not evidence to the contrary. It very well may be that there is a cause-effect relationship in isolated cases that is swamped by noise when averaged over all catchers, hence unmeasurable. Which means it's essentially an opinon issue. Therefore those that don't believe if that relationship being meaningful are not "kidding themselves".
