  1. Good news: breaking the law is the new market inefficiency
  2. No Bears fan over the age of 5 needs a reminder of that.
  3. Great video analysis here
  4. I like Walker Kessler but I'm not sure how great of on NBA player he will be.
  5. Marion Barber was found dead in his apartment.
  6. Wow. Wasn’t really expecting that from Kapler. Amazing.
  7. God bless Steve Kerr.
  8. You're not wrong. Nevertheless, the gap between the haves and the have nots is about to greatly expand. Bama won’t be able to keep up and that’s why Saban is crying; his absurd competitive advantage is shrinking.
  9. Do we have an individual booster with as much cash as Phil Knight or Boone Pickens (he actually started at A&M before transferring to Okie Lite)? Probably not. But you’re clearly ignorant on the ridiculous amount of oil money running through our alumni base. At Arkansas, you have Jerry Jones, the Walton (Wal-Mart) and the Tyson families as big time boosters to the school and to the athletic department. Everything on the campus has one of those names on it. Again, just because YOU don't know their names does not mean we do not have billionaires in our alumni/booster base. Five San Antonians make Forbes 400 list Quick Google search and I know for a fact that two of these five are Aggies. And I'm not trying to measure any dicks. Just laughing at those who don't think A&M has plenty of money at our disposal.
  10. Again, this really isn’t complicated: BOOSTERS are different than Alumni. You’re absolutely tripping if you think UCLA gets more money from athletic boosters than Texas A&M. I’d bet my life that Texas and TAMU are probably 1 and 2 from booster donations. You have any idea how many rednecks are billionaires or have hundreds of millions of dollars in Texas due to oil money? I don’t doubt Michigan and Ohio State can hang with the Texas schools as far as booster contributions, but you can chunk UCLA and “many others” out of this conversation. It’s almost certainly USC, Texas, TAMU, Michigan, and OSU in some order Phill Knight (Nike) is probably worth more and has spent more on Oregon that all Texas AM boosters put together. T Boon Pickens at OK State as well. Do we have an individual booster with as much cash as Phil Knight or Boone Pickens (he actually started at A&M before transferring to Okie Lite)? Probably not. But you’re clearly ignorant on the ridiculous amount of oil money running through our alumni base.
  11. The NIL stuff is going to correct itself eventually. Right now it's the wild west, but there are going to be plenty of busts, not just with players but with teams as well. Let's say Jimbo rolls out another few seasons of 9-3. Those boosters are going to start wondering about their return on investment for paying all this money. Getting them to pay again and again every year is going to be difficult. So I think boosters are eventually going to start being more cautious and the numbers will go down. You clearly don't know Aggies well. Lol. As long as oil prices are high the money will be flowing freely in Aggieland. A few 9-3 seasons isn't going to make the wallets close up.
  12. Bingo. Nick's claims that they didn't buy any players is horsefeathering laughable. I guarantee his talent pool has been purchased for decades. He just hates now that NIL has come into play that more people are willing to pony up since they aren't in danger of getting in trouble for doing it. Basically he's a miserable old [expletive] that doesn't like not having any advantages over everyone else. As far as A&M goes, I will say this. I know money has been paid out legally and illegally over the years just like any other school but the numbers being thrown around now are laughable.
  13. I’m so confused. ESPN2 is showing old ass John McEnroe playing tennis against virtual versions of his younger self. I feel like I’m on hallucinogens right now.
  14. Cant say that I have. Maybe I'm just a cynic but I doubt you'll have any sort of meaningful interaction with him. Seems like a closed off dude. But prove me wrong! Maybe if you get him talking about MJ.... I doubt there will be much of any chance of a real conversation. Mainly wondering if I can get a pic with him. I did it about 20 years ago to meet Ditka when he was signing bottles of his wine. He was a miserable horsefeathers. Lol.
  15. Pip is going to be at a local liquor store tomorrow signing bottles of his new whiskey. Debating whether or not I should go. Has anyone gone to one of these events?
  16. Achilles it is. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33933533/former-bears-rb-tarik-cohen-injured-live-streamed-workout
  17. You can hear a pop right before he goes down and grabs at his leg. Wonder if it was his Achilles. Feel terrible for the dude.
  18. I'd hate to move on without a solid backup plan because he MAY have recurring knee issues for the rest of his career.
  19. Who is going to replace him? For all the injuries the Bulls had this season it was Lonzo's that hurt them the most.
  20. Whatever this was, it's gone Damn. It was a picture of an old, gray JFK with a caption of "JFK today if Devin Booker was the shooter."
  21. https://twitter.com/kofie/status/1526023360769138690?s=21&t=3Ml7cBAdgFg10-15GBkAMg
  22. Why the horsefeathers are we scheduled for THREE primetime games? I was hoping for none.
