    We hang around until they return, keep doing what we've been doing, we should be in. And if they're healthy come October, we'll be armed and dangerous, as the time missed to injuries will mean the arms are fresher.

    Why? Does Damon want to play LF? Hunter's much better defensively in CF than Damon. damon said he'd move to rf if they got hunter. Johnny Damon doesn't seem to have received the memo that he has the arm of a 65-year-old. Put him in right field and baserunners would take extra bases on him ad nauseum. Put Damon in left, Hunter in center, Matsui in right, and Sheffield to DH, though, and you might have something there. The only question that raises is what they would do with Giambi when he needs days off from the field. You rotate thru, or convert one of those OF to 1B

    4 stolen bases though! Can't make fun of Beltre, kept him in a keeper league thinking he would rebound this year. Not a good idea. At least I picked up Melvin Mora for insurance. he sure seems like the classic "does it for the $" guy. Yup. He played good in his contract year and that's it. I'm surprised Aramis hasn't used Beltre's deal for leverage on his own contract.

    What? When Torri Hunter choke slammed Burke, later in the game, Carlos Lee had a chance to go in hard. About that play, Ozzie was like, "We had a guy go into 2nd base as if his wife was turning a double play."

    I don't believe the Bulls terminated his contract. If they did, they still paid him in full, I remember hearing about it in some puff piece about Reinsdorf. They bought him out, so he wasn't taking a roster spot

    Who was that a bad trade for? The Sox. Before anyone else says anything, I'll reply now. The mere fact that they won the World Series doesn't automatically absolve Kenny Williams of blame or criticism for making bad trades nor does it make all of his moves good ones. Excatly. The Brewers were able to dump a sucky reliever on the Sox, and Podsednic is overrated. The only reason he got rid of Lee is b/c he didn't go in hard when Torii Hunter choke slammed Burke. I hope we get him when he is a FA, and teaches Ozzie to shut up. He goes in hard and puts Iguchi or Uribe on the DL and shows him what going in like his wife is turning a DP.

    His contract expires after this season, and it's our option on him. We should just decline it and dump him.

    Yeah we don't. I want the Starter version back please.. I don't. He's not fit to be a starter, with the voilent motion he has. Either that or use him heavily, f him, and execute the win-win-win-lose plan. Win: We get quality starts from him. Win: We help settle down the fans and take back the city. Win: We prevent Wood from fixing his mechanics and hurting us w/ another team. Lose: Wood is out of a job. How is he "not fit to be a starter?" B/c he blows his arm out a month after returning and is back on the DL.
